Sholay (literally Embers) is a 1975 Bollywood action movie, one of the most famous blockbusters in the history of Indian cinematography. Police inspector Thakur loose his family and both his arms due to the cruel outlaw Gabbar. To carry out his revenge, Thakur hires two former criminals, Veeru and Jai, who already helped him in past.
The following weapons were used in the film Sholay:
Revolvers
Webley Revolver
During the attack on train in the flashback scene Inspector Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar) carries a Webley-style revolver. Later in the same scene it switches to a Colt-style revolver.
Colt Revolver
In the abovementioned scene Inspector Thakur's (Sanjeev Kumar) Webley switches to a Colt-style revolver. A Colt revolver is also seen in hands of Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) in one scene.
Smith & Wesson Military & Police
Smith & Wesson Military & Police revolvers are used by Veeru (Dharmendra), Jai (Amitabh Bachchan), Inspector Thakur (Sanjeev Kumar), Gabbar Singh (Amjad Khan) and some of his brigands.
Submachine Guns
Sten Mk II
Several brigands carry Sten Mk II SMGs. During Gabbar's attack on the village Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) uses a captured Sten.

Lee-Enfield No.5 Jungle Carbines are used by Jai (Amitabh Bachchan) and Veeru (Dharmendra) in their first encounter with Gabbar's men.
