The lever action looks like an 1887 Winchester shotgun, look how low that stock is in relation to the barrel and that magazine looks more suitable for shotgun shells than for rifle cartridges. :Thanks! I has such idea for a moment but came to a conclusion that the receiver differs in shape and dropped this version.--Greg-Z (talk) 01:15, 1 December 2021 (EST)
Looking at the rifle it's got a heavy barrel in that first picture and I think there's a magazine cutoff in the second pic but that one needs to be brightened up for a good ID. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 08:31, 1 December 2021 (EST)

It seems to me that this rifle may be a kind of Mauser 98 Sporter, or Springfield 1903 Sporter. Or maybe I'm wrong. --Greg-Z (talk) 10:22, 1 December 2021 (EST)
::That could be a bolt action shotgun, the barrel is too thick to be anything other than either a shotgun or a very heavy target barrel, plus the lack of sights and that short handguard in the first picture. Either a sporterized bolt action rifle or one of those higher end shotguns are the only options that make sense to me. :::Thanks, I added both versions. --Greg-Z (talk) 13:56, 1 December 2021 (EST) |
