BloodRayne is a 2002 hack and slash by Terminal Reality. Players take the role of the titular character Rayne, a half human, half vampire known as a Dhampir. The story takes her from 1933 in a fictional town in the Louisiana Bayou, then 5 years later to a secret Nazi base in Argentina, and finally a castle in the mountains of Nazi Germany. Along the way she must assassinate officers of the GegenGeist Gruppe, a fictional association of Nazis based on the Thule society. Throughout this the player must fight mutants, monsters, Nazis and demons to protect the world from the threat of a devious Nazi General, and his ambitions of demonic power.
The following weapons appear in the video game BloodRayne:
Handguns
Colt Single Action Army
In-game known as the "Cole 44", the Single Action Army is one of the first guns encountered during the Bayou section of the game.
Luger P08
The Luger P08 can be found carried by the first nazi enemy Rayne encounters, and many enemies there-on. Known as the"Leug P08" in game.
Luger P08 "Artillery"
The Luger LP08 "Artillery" with Trommel snail drum magazine and attached stock also makes an appearance as the "Leug 08 Artillery".
Mauser M712/C96 Hybrid
Also seen in the game is the Mauser C96, depicted with what appears to be the detachable magazine of the M712 Schnellfeur style pistol, although it lacks any of the controls or selector switches of such. Known as the "Mauz 9mm" in-game.
Smith & Wesson M1917 Revolver
Seen in the hands of the bayou infected, the Smith and Wesson M1917 Revolver appears as the W&S 1917 revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 2 Double Action
The Smith & Wesson Model 2 Double Action is another revolver to be found in the swamp chapter. Known as the "W&S Double Action Revolver."
Walther PP
The Walther PP can be found in the Argentina and Germany Chapters. It's called a "Walthurm PP" in-game.
Shotguns
Browning Auto 5
Called the Breaning A5 in-game. The Browning Auto-5 can be found in the Louisiana levels, and used in the 'Heavy Weapon' inventory slot.
Ithaca Model 37
The Ithaca Model 37 can be found throughout the game, although its appearance in 1933 Louisiana is anachronistic, and its use by the Germans in 1938 is misplaced. It's known as the "Ethica 33" in-game, presumably implying that it appeared four years earlier in the game's universe. A more historically correct choice would be a Remington Model 10.
Sawed-off Double Barrel Shotgun
A Sawn-off Double Barreled Shotgun makes an appearance in-game, also taking up the heavy weapon slot. It can be found in all levels, and its use by the German army is highly unlikely, at best.
Submachine Guns
Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II
First encountered in Argentina, the Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II is known as the "Bergstein Mp28" in-game.
MP40
The MP40 can be seen in the latter half the game, known as the "SMP34" (which is actually a completely different weapon). It is seen both with and without the folding stock deployed. Its appearance is anachronistic by a few years, although it may be a stand-in for the earlier MP38.
M3A1 "Grease Gun"
The M3A1 "Grease Gun"'s appearance in the game is both misplaced and anachronistic, the A1 model of Grease Gun being rolled out in 1944, and the original M3 in 1942. Even at that, it's an American submachine gun to begin with. Seen with and without stock deployed, and known as the "Greaser SMG". A more accurate choice for an American SMG in 1938 would be a M1921/1928 Thompson (which, moreover, indeed was in very limited use by Germany).
Rifles/Battle Rifles
FG42
The FG 42 can be found in the hands of more elite troops in-game, though it is anachronistic. Curiously, it's been modeled with the side-mounted magazine stuck into the bottom of the handguard in a more conventional look, but wholly incorrect. Whether this was due to miscommunication, aesthetics, or technical constraint is anybody's guess. Known as the "Blitzgewehr 32".
Gewehr 43
The Gewehr 43 is found in the Argentina and Germany chapters, prominently seen in the hands of snipers. In-game it's simply known as "G33". Sadly the model is crinkled oddly like the MP40. It also has the scope bracket for the ZF4 attached, but the scope is absent. Its appearance is anachronistic, about 5 years before its actual appearance, and 3 years before the introduction of the Gewehr 41. While the main German armament back then was bolt-action rifles (Karabiner 98k), a more correct semi-auto choice could have been the experiemental Walther A115 or Mauser G-35; older Mauser Selbstlader and Mondragón also may be used.
Jennings Rifle
The Smith-Jennings Rifle of all things makes an appearance in the Louisiana swamp levels. Its appearance is quite strange, as the original Smith-Jennings was brought out in 1851 and was a flop commercially. It's likely that less than 2000 rifles were made before 1852 when production ceased. Known as "Kennings Rifle" in-game.
Winchester 1873
The Winchester Model 1873 can also be found in the Louisiana chapter, making much more sense in such context. It's known as the "Winkesler Rifle".
Assault Rifles
StG-44
The Sturmgewehr 44 is first encountered halfway through the Argentina Chapter. Known as "ZZG33" in-game. Once again, it anachronistic, depicted at least 4 years before appeance of the first Haenel MKb 42(H) "machine carbine" prototype. A more correct choice could have been the experiemental Vollmer M35.
Machineguns
M1918A2 BAR
Appropriately American, but also anachronistic for the A2 variant, is the M1918A2 Browning Automatic Rifle. It's found in the Louisiana chapter and known as the "M1918 GAR".
Maxim MG08
Seen mounted on half-tracks and in various positions, the Maxim MG08 takes up the 'heavy weapon' inventory slot. It is also used by Von Blut in his armored pedestal. Known as the "Kaxik 08".
MG42
The MG42 can only be found in the final chapter at Castle Gaustadt, and very rarely at that. Anachronistic unless you take the game's word for it, as it's known as the "Mg32" in-game. Curiously though, in a rare instance of media depiction, it seems to be the early pre-1943 slab-sided horizontal charging handle version instead of the more common later variant. Yet again, the MG34 would have been a more fitting choice.
Launchers
Hawk MM1-based Launcher
The "Granatewurf" (German for "Grenade Throwing") is a rotary grenade launcher based on the Hawk MM1. It rather impossibly throws entire Model 24 Stielhandgranates, and is anachronistic by over 20 years; a slightly more appropriate choice would be a Manville 25mm Projectile Launcher, upon which the MM1 was based, though this was never used by the Germans, and was only meant to fire less-lethal ammunition like tear gas canisters. At the time, the standard means of launching grenades was generally the rifle grenade launcher, with the Germans' launcher of choice being the Karabingranate M1914 rod grenades; for a still anachronistic, but suitable choice, the Gewehrgranatengerät, or Sturmpistole (a Kampfpistole flare gun modified to fire grenades) could've also been used.
Panzerfaust
The Panzerfaust 60 is sprinkled throughout the game after the Louisiana chapter. Anachronistic, as the model depicted wasn't available until 1944. Due to a texture problem, it appears solid black.
Panzerschrek
Appearing in the Germany chapters, the Panzerschreck is a troublesome weapon to face off against, especially in the penultimate levels. Sadly it too, is anachronistic; even the Bazooka on which it is based was then still at the prototype stage.
Explosives
Dynamite
Sticks of dynamite take the role of throwable explosives in the Louisiana levels.
Mk 2 Grenade
Rayne drops an Mk 2 grenade when she is surrounded by Vampires in the intro cinematic.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The Model 24 Stielhandgranate is seen on the belts of nearly every German enemy. They act much like grenades should, but when thrown they leave a trail of smoke as the fuze burns down.
Tellermine 35
A single Tellermine 35 can be found in the bridge level of the castle chapter. The rest are presumably buried, but quizzically they all act like anti-personnel mines.
Other
Unholy Mecha
One of the levels about midway through the last chapter consists of commandeering and operating a fictional walking tank called an "Unholy Mecha". Naturally, the very concept is outrageous for this time period, but coupled with the demons, monsters, supersoldiers and jetpack Nazis, it's not surprising at all.
The armored walkers are each armed with a pair of 5 tube rocket pods on the starboard side of the machine, and a six barrel M61 Vulcan styled rotary cannon on the port side. There's also a Model 24 Stielhandgranate projector mounted to the hull.
Cut Weapons
M1903 Springfield
The "Springbrook Rifle" described in the manual, but, oddly enough, does not appear in the game itself. Judging by its name and characteristics, it was clearly the M1903 Springfield. It should have been available in the Louisiana chapter. The reasons for the removal of this are unknown, although it could have been due to a surplus of existing rifles.
