There Be Dragons is a 2011 war film following the early life of Josemaría Escrivá, founder of Opus Dei (Work of God), told through the flashbacks of Manolo Torres, a fictional friend of Escrivá. Most of the story is told during the Spanish Civil War, where Torres struggles with being a spy for the Nationalists whilst fighting alongside Republicans, and Escrivá struggles with being a Catholic priest in Republican-occupied territory.
The following weapons were used in the film There Be Dragons:
Mauser C96 "Red Nine"
A Mauser C96 "Red 9" is the preferred sidearm of Manolo Torres (Wes Bentley). He uses it to execute a CNT strike leader, and later Hungarian communist and love interest Ildiko (Olga Kurylenko) .
