Hell Comes to Frogtown is a 1988 post-apocalyptic action movie directed by Donald G. Jackson and R.J. Kizer and starring Roddy Piper as Sam Hell. The story is set in post-nuclear America where most people are infertile. A nomadic traveller Sam Hell is a rare exception, so he is an object of interest of Medtech, the medical branch of the government where only women are in power. Together with Spangle (Sandahl Bergman), a medical expert, and Centinella (Cec Verrell), a fierce soldier, Sam is sent on mission to Frogtown, the dwelling of froglike mutants who have recently captured a group of fertile women. Sam have to release them and then make the work of breeding stock. At least the first part of the mission doesn't make him happy.
The following weapons were used in the film Hell Comes to Frogtown:
Handguns
Desert Eagle Mark I
Captain Devlin (William Smith) carries a Desert Eagle Mark I. Later his pistol is used by Sam Hell (Roddy Piper).
A mutant named Squidlips (Julius LeFlore) uses a Colt 1851 Navy in the opening scene.
Various revolvers
Spangle (Sandahl Bergman) carries a compact revolver in shoulder holster in the scene of releasing of Sam Hell from Capt. Devlin. During the expedition Spangle carries a large nickel plated or stainless steel revolver. Both guns are seen only in holsters.
Submachine Guns
Micro Uzi
Centinella's (Cec Verrell) personal sidearm is a Micro Uzi SMG, fitted with barrel extention and some kind of sighting device to make it look more futuristic.
Shotguns
Mossberg 500 (with pistol grip)
Numerous Frog Guards are armed with Mossberg 500 shotguns with pistol grips and wooden furniture. Sam Hell (Roddy Piper) and Spangle (Sandahl Bergman) use captured shotguns. In one scene Captain Devlin (William Smith) is briefly seen carrying a Mossberg on sling. Note: these shotguns appear to be NOT Mossberg 500 Cruisers as Cruisers were never produced with wooden furniture.
Remington 870 (with pistol grip)
Several Frog Guards are armed with Remington 870 shotguns, also with pistol grips.
Coach Gun
In the final scene Commander Toty (Brian Frank), the boss of Frogtown, carries a Coach Gun with pistol grip.
Fake Coach Gun
In one scene Commander Toty holds a mockup of a double barreled shotgun that lacks hammers and triggers.
Rifles
M1 Garand
In the scene of the border outpost a pair of guards (Jeff Dolan and Vern Urich) are armed with M1 Garand rifles.
Machine Guns
M60
Centinella (Cec Verrell) mans an M60 machine gun, top-mounted on pink Chevrolet Advance-Design minivan.
Other Weapons
M8 Flare Pistol
During the shootout in the Frogtown old Looney Tunes (Rory Calhoun) uses an M8 Flare Pistol.
Fake RPG-7
During the climactic scene Captain Devlin (William Smith) holds a mockup of RPG-7 grenade launcher. Then this weapon falls in hands of Sam Hell (Roddy Piper).
