Does anybody know what cannon came first, the GIAT M621 or the GIAT M693? The number would suggest the M621, however most of the stuff I have been able to find suggests that the M621 was developed as a lightweight, low recoil version for mounting on helicopters and smaller ships. --commando552 (talk) 05:09, 28 September 2013 (EDT) | Does anybody know what cannon came first, the GIAT M621 or the GIAT M693? :M621 is produced since 1973 or 1974, while M693 is used on AMX-10P which is produced from 1972. So it looks like both models were created around the same time. What came first?
Does anybody know what cannon came first, the GIAT M621 or the GIAT M693? The number would suggest the M621, however most of the stuff I have been able to find suggests that the M621 was developed as a lightweight, low recoil version for mounting on helicopters and smaller ships. --commando552 (talk) 05:09, 28 September 2013 (EDT)
