Lavalantula is a 2015 disaster horror film that premiered in the US on the SyFy channel. The film finds citizens of Los Angeles having to deal with volcanic eruptions that also unleash a swarm of gigantic, lava-breathing tarantulas onto the city. The film also happens to reunite four actors from 1984 comedy film Police Academy: Steve Guttenberg, Michael Winslow, Marion Ramsey and Leslie Easterbrook. In addition, Ian Ziering also makes an appearance, reprising his role of Fin from the Sharknado films. The sequel 2 Lava 2 Lantula! premiered on SyFy on 2016.
