Bill Pullman is an American actor perhaps best known for his role as President Thomas J. Whitmore in the sci-fi film Independence Day and its sequel Independence Day: Resurgence. He also has appeared in such films as Surveillance, Spaceballs, and Lost Highway. He also is the father of actor Lewis Pullman.
