Hetaeras of Major Sokolov (Getery mayora Sokolova) is a 2014 Russian war drama TV series. In 1939 Major Andrey Sokolov (Andrey Panin), the officer of the Soviet intelligence service, forms a group of five young women for special missions. The group becomes known as "Hetaeras". Sokolov and his special group counter the activities of the Russkiy Obshchevoinskiy Soyuz (ROVS, Russian All-Military Union), the organisation of the former White Army officers who continue their struggle against the Soviet Russia from abroad. One of the leaders of the ROVS and Sokolov's archenemy is Semyonov (Filipp Yankovskiy) who served together with Sokolov in the Army of the Russian Empire until the Russian revolution made them enemies.

Andrey Panin made his final screen appearance in the series, passing away when the work wasn't complete. So in some scenes an unnamed screen double of Panin plays the role of Sokolov.

The following weapons were used in the television series Hetaeras of Major Sokolov (Getery mayora Sokolova):

Revolvers

Nagant M1895

Nagant M1895 revolvers are seen in hands of the instructor of the special group, retired Capt. of Militsiya Ivan Mikhaylovich Ryazantsev, commonly called Mikhalych (Sergey Garmash), members of the group Lyusya Kovalevskaya alias Infanta (Aglaya Tarasova) and Nina Matrosova alias Beshenaya ("Rabid") (Darya Melnikova), Lt. of Militsiya Aleksandr Cherentsov (Oleg Tilkin), ROVS agent Malsagov alias Knyaz (Aleksandr Rezalin), Soviet state security officers and Finnish police.

Replica/Toy Revolver

During the chase after the car of the Soviet agents, one of the Finnish police officers holds a revolver that looks way too modern for 1939 and turns out to be a plastic replica, possibly a CO2 gun or even a kid toy.

Pistols

TT-33

TT-33 pistols are used by Major Andrey Sokolov (Andrey Panin), Mikhalych (Sergey Garmash), Captain of the State Security Evgeniy Klyuev (Artur Smolyaninov), Senior Major of the State Security Cherkasov (Dmitriy Podnozov), instructor of the intelligence school Mariya Kovalevskaya alias Graphinya ("Countess") (Tatyana Lyutaeva), and the members of the special group Nina Matrosova alias Beshenaya (Darya Melnikova) and Sonya Kantor alias Sinitsa ("Tit") (Mariya Antonova). The pistols that are seen close enough are of correct pre-1947 version.

Luger P08

Semyonov alias Krest ("Cross") (Filipp Yankovskiy) carries a Luger P08 during the encounter with the car of the Soviet agents in Finland (later this character uses a Vis wz. 35 pistol). P08 pistols, used by Mikhalych (Sergey Garmash) and the Commissioner of Finnish police Nel (Aleksander Christian Anria), several times switch to Walther P38s and back due to a row of continuity errors. Lugers are also used by Krest's henchman Tikhon (uncredited) and Kseniya alias Tula (Alisa Gorshkova).

Walther P38

The Commissioner of Finnish police Nel (Aleksander Christian Anria) carries a Walther P38 (this brand new gun hardly could be used in Finland in the Autumn of 1939). Mikhalych (Sergey Garmash) also uses a P38. It turns out to be that only a single P38 was used during the filming, so the Walther several times switches to the Luger and back.

Browning Hi-Power

In one scene Andrey Sokolov (played by Panin's double) holds a Browning Hi-Power. A Hi-Power is also used by a State Security officer during the arrest of Mikhalysh. While Hi-Power existed in 1939, the actual screen gun is a post-war model.

Vis wz. 35

Krest's (Filipp Yankovskiy) main gun is a Vis wz. 35 pistol. His pistol is taken by Infanta (Aglaya Tarasova) and then used by deaf-mute Karelian young man Miki (Mikhail Kasapov). Later Krest is again seen with a Vis (so it must be a different gun but definitly same prop was reused). Sokolov also carries a Vis when he is arrested (in this scene the character is played by Panin's double).

Rifles

Mosin Nagant M1891 Dragoon and M1891/30

Tula (Alisa Gorshkova) and Infanta (Aglaya Tarasova) hold Mosin Nagant M1891/30 rifles when waiting for the attack on the school and during the incident with Cherkasov. Most rifles lack the hood on the front sight and may be M1891 Dragoon or pre-1935 version of M91/30. M91 Dragoon and/or M91/30 rifles are also used by Militsiya personnel, Soviet border guards and Finnish soldiers (in the latter case these rifles stand for Finnish versions of Mosin Nagant rifle - M/27, M/28 and M/39).

Karabiner 1888

During the operation in Finland, Beshenaya (Darya Melnikova), the best sniper of the group, uses a Karabiner 1888 with sniper scope (a really strange choice as the short barrel of the carbine makes it a very mediocre sniper gun).
