Is it really a Walther logo on the slide of this M1911 ?!

Colt DS with ramp front sight?

I'm not sure that the revolver, identified as Colt DS, is identified correctly. It has a clearly distinguishable ramp front sight, and I cannot find an image of Colt DS 1st/2nd Gen. with such shape of the front sight. Maybe this is some clone of DS, possibly of Spanish origin? Greg-Z (talk) 02:15, 8 April 2013 (EDT)

I came across something like that for one of my films. JCordell IDed it as a Miroku Liberty Chief, a Japanese revolver based on the Colt DS. Oddly enough, Christopher Lambert was the only guy to use it, in two separate films. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:30, 8 April 2013 (EDT)

Miroku Liberty Chief - .38 Special
The revolver seen in this movie doesn't look like Miroku, it has Colt DS frame. And I doubt that in French mid-70s movie a Japanese revolver would appear.

Well, there's not much of a domestic market for guns in Japan, so these were exported. There isn't any particular reason why they'd show up in NYC in the eighties or Vancouver in the nineties either. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:43, 8 April 2013 (EDT)
I only think that a German or Spanish version of Colt is more available for French movie than a Japanese one. Greg-Z (talk) 14:11, 8 April 2013 (EDT)
Is it just me starting to see Röhm Revolvers everywhere or this can also be one of them? --Kloga (talk) 17:45, 19 December 2013 (EST)
I've already search among Rohm revolvers. But the screen revolver lacks typical Rohm rear sight, it has a smooth top while Rohm revolvers have a "hump". Greg-Z (talk) 01:07, 20 December 2013 (EST)
Obviously another army revolver, possibly a very rare New Service or Army Special snubnose, like this one: [1]. --Slon95 (talk) 16:22, 16 July 2020 (EDT)
