I was looking through old articles of SEGA light guns just to kill time, and I found one explaining how the original mechanics of House of The Dead were going to work (originally it was gonna have two screens, one behind the player at all times, proved too costly and bulky to work), and I found a sketch that, according to the article at least, is meant to be a modeller's reference for the pistols.

What I find most interesting is that the porting in the slide goes all the way forward, the USP style rail, and that it was not only going to be 9mm, but also called the BDR Custom instead. --[[User:Yocapo32|yocapo32]] ([[User talk:Yocapo32|talk]]) 11:00, 3 June 2020 (EDT)

If this is the only gun in the game, and it doesn't look like ANY real gun, much less a BHP, then I'm not sure this title qualifies. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:59, 5 November 2015 (EST)

I know about this problem. but in the "The House of the Dead Official Guide" page 12, it written as "modified Special Ops Browning Hi-Power". So I wrote independent HOD1 article than integration to HOD2 article. --Seganamcofan (talk) 04:15, 6 November 2015 (EST)
A third party article doesn't override the visual evidence. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:17, 6 November 2015 (EST)
Take your cellphone out back and shoot it. :P Evil Tim (talk) 08:23, 6 November 2015 (EST)
I take a picture of these evidence. It's written as Japanese, though.

I read carefully this article, It look like My identification was WRONG. EATER is actually a heavily modified unknown handgun which was adopted by AMS.Its tuned up by some gunsmith who made Spec ops Browning Hi-Power. I'm so sorry about this. I'll change the main page description. --Seganamcofan (talk) 11:37, 6 November 2015 (EST)
If it's a fake handgun and it's the only weapon in the game, the page doesn't qualify. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:04, 6 November 2015 (EST)
"the page doesn't qualify" hmm... so, if this page are deleted, HOD1 information are will be include to HOD2 article? --Seganamcofan (talk) 12:24, 6 November 2015 (EST)
The same gun appears to be in HOD2, so it looks like it's already included. But if you can't finish HOD2, that will be gone as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:59, 6 November 2015 (EST)
Hmm. Can't we stick the four main games onto a single page like what was with Devil May Cry?--Gunmaster2011 (talk) 13:05, 8 November 2015 (EST)

Fictional Handgun

AMS agents Thomas Rogan and "G" uses fictional handgun called "AMS EATER Custom" (In the Sega Saturn Magazine, It was incorrectly called "BDR Custom .45 Auto").
According from "The House of the Dead Official Guide", It's heavily modified unknown handgun which was adopted by AMS. with modified to striker fired, change caliber 9×19mm to 50.AE rounds. It's also equipped with enlarged ambidextrous safety lever, magazine release and single-column 6 rounds magazine.

"EATER" is also planned to appear as game's gun controller, which have air compression recoil system and It's actually uses in Location Test of 1996,
But plan is later cancelled. because these recoil are possibly damage to player's hands and production cost is much higher then Virtua Cop's gun controller.
Although final version's gun controller are each have specially made sticker. It written as "EATER 1 ANNEX ARMS JPN "ZMB" special package type -Thomas- model" for 1 player's gun (It written for 2 player's gun as "EATER 2 type -G- model").

Here it is.
