Homeland is a television drama/thriller that stars Claire Danes as Carrie Mathison, a CIA officer suffering from bipolar disorder, who in the series' first 3 seasons, is convinced that Sgt. Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis), a recently released US Marine who was captured by Al Qaeda near the beginning of the Iraq War, has in fact become a sleeper agent for the terrorist organization.
