John P. Ryan (July 30, 1936 – March 20, 2007) was an American actor who appeared in such films as The Right Stuff, Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection, Dillinger, and The Cotton Club. One of his best known roles was as Warden Ranken in the 1985 film Runaway Train.
