This is actually historically correct, the Finnish army removed the MG-34s from the StuGs and replaced them with DTs, as it simplified training, maintenance, supplying ammunition, etc. Elbastardo1891 (talk) 14:12, 21 January 2015 (EST) | This is actually historically correct, the Finnish army removed the MG-34s from the StuGs and replaced them with DTs, as it simplified training, maintenance, supplying ammunition, etc. Elbastardo1891 (talk) 14:12, 21 January 2015 (EST)

The Parola Tank Museum in Finland has a running T-26. Perhaps this tank in the movie is a museum piece which needed careful handling and that would explain why it only appears briefly in one scene. Brownag

The 152mm ex-Soviet howitzers seen during the filming were decommissioned from Finnish Army service shortly after filming and scrapped. They had been little used during their service to save wear and tear on the barrels. The filming may have been an excuse to use up remaining live ammunition? Brownag |

I'm not sure but it seems to me that the rifles in hands of Soviet soldiers are not M91/30 but rather Finnish M/91-24. Also the Maxim on the first screenshot really looks like M/09-21 but the second and the last screenshots show M/32-33 according to the snow filling cap on top of the water jacket. DTs on StuGs
This is actually historically correct, the Finnish army removed the MG-34s from the StuGs and replaced them with DTs, as it simplified training, maintenance, supplying ammunition, etc. Elbastardo1891 (talk) 14:12, 21 January 2015 (EST)
Unidentified Soviet Tank
Unknown tanks are seen briefly on flat railway cars by Finnish forward observers during the Soviet redeployment of its forces from Karelia to Estonia. The tank's road-wheels look like those of a T-54/T-55 but I can’t identify the turret
Ex-Soviet T-26
The Parola Tank Museum in Finland has a running T-26. Perhaps this tank in the movie is a museum piece which needed careful handling and that would explain why it only appears briefly in one scene. Brownag
