Vasiliy Merkuryev (1904–1978) holds a PPSh-41 as Starshina (Sgt. Maj.) Anikanov in The Star (Zvezda) (1949).

Vasiliy Vasilyevich Merkuryev (April 6, 1904 – May 12, 1978) was a famous Soviet screen and stage actor. He was awarded the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1960. His son Pyotr Merkuryev also was an actor.
