Cold Summer of 1953 (Kholodnoe leto pyatdesyat tretego) is a 1987 action movie by Aleksandr Proshkin starring Valeri Priyomykhov as Sergei Basargin (called 'Luzga') and Anatoli Papanov as Nikolai Starobogatov (called 'Kopalych'). These two are exiled persons who live in small settlement in Siberia when a gang of criminals attack this settlement. After the local militsioneer was killed by the gang, Basargin who is former commando officer rises to protect the villagers.
The following weapons were used in the film Cold Summer of 1953 (Kholodnoe leto pyatdesyat tretego):
Handguns
Nagant M1895 Revolver
Gang leader Baron (Vladimir Golovin) uses the Nagant M1895 in several scenes.
TT-33 Pistol
Tokarev TT-33 is used by bandit Kryuk (Aleksei Kolesnik). When Kryuk arms himself with a PPSh-41, taken from slain militsioneer Mankov, he gives the pistol to young bandit Vityok (Sergey Vlasov). Basargin (Valeri Priyomykhov) kills Vityok with makeshift knife and uses the TT himself.
Submachine Guns
PPSh-41
PPSh-41 is the weapon of district Militsioneer Sr. Lt. Mankov (Viktor Stepanov). Kryuk (Aleksei Kolesnik) takes the PPSh when Mankov is killed. Basargin (Valeri Priyomykhov) uses the PPSh to kill bandit Baklan (Viktor Kosykh).
Rifles
Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine
Bandits take a Mosin Nagant M1938 Carbine from general store. Bandit Mukha (Aleksandr Zavyalov) used it to shoot militsioneer Mankov (Viktor Stepanov). Later Mukha was killed by Basargin who uses the carbine against the rest of the gang. Fadeyich (Vladimir Kashpur) and then Zotov (Yuriy Kuznetsov) hold the carbine when the battle is over. This carbine lacks the hood over the front sight.
Mosin Nagant "obrez"
Mosin Nagant "obrez" is a weapon of bandit Mikhalych (Andrei Dudarenko). After Basargin kills Mikhalych, he takes the "obrez" and then hands it to Starobogatov (Anatoli Papanov).
TOZ-17
Vityok (Sergey Vlasov) uses a small caliber rifle, taken from a villager, to exterminate village dogs. The rifle is seen only in distance but its general shape resembles a TOZ-17. This rifle appeared only in late 1950s but there were earlier models, like TOZ-8, popular among small game hunters.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Shotgun
A Side by Side Double Barreled Shotgun was taken by bandits from general store and used by Baklan (Viktor Kosykh). It is possibly a TOZ model.
Mosin Nagant/Frolov Shogtun
Villager Yakov (uncredited) tries to defend his house with a bolt action gun but is killed by Mikhalych. His gun appears to be a Mosin Nagant/Frolov Shotgun, nicknamed "Frolovka". In the movie it is called "Berdanka" but this name is a generalizing term for all similar bolt action shotguns.
