| =About Me=
| |
| I'm a Welsh lad who has a strange interest in anything that'll fire a bullet. I stumbled across this site a year ago, and haven't left. I know more about the operation of firearms, firearms in media, and a lot of different firearm brands than I ever have done (at the beginning I only knew about Walther and Beretta). I have had experience with "real steel" firearms, such as a Glock 17, 19 and 20, Sig Sauer P226, P225 and P228, a Browning Hi-Power, Heckler and Koch MP5A3, L85A2 (carbine, light support and underslung grenade variants), L96 rifle and the L129A1 sharpshooter rifle (based on the AR-15 platform, I believe). I've also had a bit of experience with shotguns made for hunting in France (recoil was a bitch). Before you ask, I have spent a lot of time operating these weapons through my service in the Territorial Army. In about a year or so's time, I hope to pursue a career within the Royal Navy's warfare branch. I would also like to get into airsoft, but do not have the money or contacts to do so at the moment, so maybe later in life. Gun ownership doesn't get much heavier in Europe than in the Land of Hope and Glory, which is rather unfortunate (its not hard to find a gun either in England, if you know what I mean) for me, as I would most love to own a 1911-type pistol, along with a Walther P99 and the Smith and Wesson Model 19, the "handcannon", wielded by Dirty Harry. Thanks to this site also, I am watching more TV shows and films I'd never even heard of (e.g. Burn Notice, 24, The Unit, No Country for Old Men, Se7en, to say the least). I hope one day to up sticks and move to the States, and hopefully be able to own a few weapons. I hope to become more actively involved in discussions on here, maybe even correct a few errors I see. Keep doing what you're doing, guys :)
