Fruitvale Station is a 2013 independent film that dramatizes the events leading up to and the shooting of Oscar Grant by BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) officers on New Years Day, 2009. The film was the feature debut of writer/director Ryan Coogler and was the first leading role for Michael B. Jordan, who portrayed Oscar Grant.
