Well, there's no formatting at all. Like I said, please take a look at the IMFDB Page Templates page and copy the one for TV series. It's just some cutting and pasting. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2017 (EST)

Welcome to IMFDB

Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban. After that you should also read the IMFDB Screencapping Guide and the IMFDB Style Guide to familiarize yourself with the image and formatting requirements for pages you create.

There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.

If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.

Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. If you would like to join the forum, please post HERE and an account will be created for you.

Now, HAPPY EDITING! bunni (talk) 17:20, 1 January 2017 (EST)

Copying content from outside sources with IMDB is expressly prohibited by the Rules, and so far, that's the only content on the page. Do you intend to provide screencaps for the entire series? As this is your first page, I suggest referring to the resources mentioned above. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:24, 1 January 2017 (EST)

Dear Funky...,

OK, I am busted as first time contributor. I rewrote the material myself. I tried to insert screen captures but don't understand the process for uploading .jpg files and then getting them inserted into the submission.

Also a new contributor what is best way to get screen captures from TV broadcast or Netflix?

DougC.

For screencapping help, there's a link to the screencapping guide above. As for coding, please refer to the IMFDB Page Templates page. Almost all the code is filled out, you just have to copy, paste, and edit. Since this is your first page, I'll move the contents to the talk page for now so you can take your time learning the process. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:08, 1 January 2017 (EST)

Update 1/2/17 I found the relocated material on the talk page and will add to it. Can one use the talk (WIP) page to write proposed text, insert screen captures, etc. In other words do all the editing, proof reading to ensure complies with Rules, Standards and Principles before uploading?

That's why it's there. Take your time. --Funkychinaman (talk) 21:39, 2 January 2017 (EST)

Update 1/31/17 Dear Funky..., I have uploaded all my available screen captures with text for this submission. Can you look it over for compliance as this is first effort?

Well, there's no formatting at all. Like I said, please take a look at the IMFDB Page Templates page and copy the one for TV series. It's just some cutting and pasting. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:05, 31 January 2017 (EST)

Also, please don't crop your screenshots. If you want to emphasize something, you can draw on the image itself. Please refer to the Screencapping Guide for instructions. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:06, 31 January 2017 (EST)
