[[Single Action Army]] revolvers are widely used throughout the movie, seen in hands of Luke "Whispering" Smith ([[Alan Ladd]]), his friend of old Murray Sinclair ([[Robert Preston]]), train robbers brothers Blake Barton ([[Murvyn Vye]]) and Leroy Barton ([[Ward Wood]]) (third brother, Gabby Barton (Bob Kortman) isn't seen with a gun), secret gang boss Barney Rebstock ([[Donald Crisp]]), his henchman Whitey Du Sang ([[Frank Faylen]]), and railroad company employee Bill Dansing ([[William Demarest]]). Nearly all revolvers are of "Artillery" model, though some "Civilian" SAA revolvers also can be seen. Smith's revolvers have stag horn grips (such revolvers are used by Alan Ladd in many roles in Western movies), and Rebstock's revolver has ivory grips.
