	In the past we've had pages which stretched the purpose and goal of IMFDB. Documentaries are for the most part showing LIVE events. Shows like COPS or DEA are just reality shows that follow real life Law enforcement. Most of us react with a big 'So what?" The problem is that IMFDB is not here to document what appears in REAL LIFE. It started to chronicle what guns were used in what movies. That is something which most of the firearms websites or literature don't even bother with nor do they know a thing about. The movie industry is like an alien planet to most firearms authors. But back to the problems with 'documentaries'. Most of them are about Newsworthy events, either NOW or in the PAST. What is the problem? We don't track REAL LIFE. If the US Marines start fielding a new weapon, we're not going to start chronicling EVERY news show that has a pic of it. IMFDB won't care unless it appears in an original entertainment media like a movie, TV show, anime or VG. We even had people try to make pages for NBC Nightly News, Dateline, etc, which were just news shows which were showing real journalistic footage of Taliban fighters. That's not the point of IMFDB and when members start STRETCHING the definition of documentaries to such length, it makes an avalanche of impossible to maintain pages. Though some documentaries DO show re-enactments of historical or current events, the extent of abuse and members pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable is just not worth the hassle.
