I became interested in it ever since I first read about it in a gun magazine back in 1988. I think it's an iconic assault rifle and I was a little jealous when I saw movies or TV shows in the 90's where they show an A2 on non-firing scenes, but became an M16A1 with A2 handguards on firing scenes.
