It's hard to say for sure if his revolver is a Mk II or Mk III. == Lee-Enfield Officer's Model No. 2 Carbine ==
Inspector Gregson (Tim Key) is armed with a [[Lee-Speed Sporter|Lee-Enfield Officer's Model No. 2 Carbine]] in the scenes in the prison mental hospital in "Chapter Seven: The Ecstasy of Death" (S01E07). The carbine is seen in the gun cabinet at the Baker Street 221B and then it is used by Spike (McKell David) in "Chapter Eight: The Ecstasy of Life" (S01E08). Model No. 2 Carbine was in fact a hunting style rifle for an officer and a gentleman, unlike Officer's Model No. 1 that had a military stock and a bayonet lug.
