It's a very tight fit, and not all guns pin the fixed sights into place, so it is very possible the rear sight or the front sight was shifted right or left a little, and was not flush with the slide. - James3

			I think, perhaps, it is more likely that since he is often undercover, his S&W 36 is his 'quick draw' gun and the larger, more powerful .45 Scoremaster is his deep concealment backup gun.
