			Does anyone find it funny how the Soldier demonstrating it praised the weapon's on-board optical sight and how you didn't have train troops to line up the sights, yet once Gunny brought up the subject of the electronic sight going down, the Soldier flips up the BUIS in a sort of "badda bing" moment and doesn't even bother to mention that troops would ''still'' have to be trained on how to use said BUIS? 	I've noticed a lot of Delete notices on pages such as Weaponology and Future Weapons as of late. Now I know there is a kind-of unspoken rule about 'documentary' pages not being allowed, but, I don't know, I'm wondering is this is getting a bit much.. At the very least, I'm worried that it's something that will inevitably concern several additional, and arguably very popular pages. One of which being this one - Since this is a sort of documentary show (As well as ''Lock 'n Load''), will it get slated for deletion as well? I have to say I'm finding that possibility a bit disconcerting; Of course I like this page, but it's also a bit disconcerting on a general level, especially given there's no specific mention or even allusion of non-allowance of documentary pages on the RS&P page. Though that is probably just an oversight, it still should be addressed on the rules page itself, since the template regards the page being against the rules when in fact, the pages are conforming to the RS&P as it's presently stated. 	:While it has been decided that documentaries should not be allowed on IMFDB an exception was made for Mail Call because alot of work was put into it and it was created before the decision was made. Basically it has been grandfathered in. A notice about that should probably be put on the page. --[[User:AdAstra2009\|AdAstra2009]] 18:38, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
	That seems iffy to me. I don't think any pages should be slated for deletion until the Rules and Standards are changed to reflect this rule (which, by the way, we don't know actually exists- we only have your word that it does).

	::- AdAstra is an admin, and other admins and older members have stated here and there that documentaries aren't allowed (Again, it indeed isn't on the RS&P page, but that's an oversight and one that seems will be only temporary). Anyway, it is for good reason - I understand myself about the documentary thing, because it would encompass a vastly insane number of TV shows (As in, more than the site could probably even handle), but I was just a bit perturbed by how many notices I've seen on pages today. Of course part of me would request an exception for pages like 'Future Weapons' as they deal almost specifically on firearms themselves, but they themselves are massive pages with loads of weapons in various configurations and again, it may be a bit much. Plus such a exception would include shows like 'Tales Of The Gun', 'Guns of the World' and numerous other shows, and again we've kind arrived at the same problem (Plus many of those shows are VERY similar anyway). A grandfather clause I can understand though... However I'm sure Lock 'N Load was made quite recently, so will it get the ax? [[User:StanTheMan\|StanTheMan]] 18:43, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

	I'm aware AdAstra is an admin, but like you, it seems like a huge number of pages are slated to get the ax and I'd simply like to know the standards that are going to apply to the "grandfather clause," and how it will be fairly decided what pages get grandfathered in and which don't.

I'm sure the admins will collectively come to a consensus about certain pages and how this 'Documentary' rule will be stated/enforced and make public note of it in due course. 	It's really debatable on if this page and others like my Lock'n Load page should get axed on the basis that they are documentaries and since they are shows EXPLAINING the firearms in question, wouldnt need to actually list the guns shown [[User:Excalibur01\|Excalibur01]] 18:52, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
