Perhaps it is a 459 that someone installed the newer grips on to make it pass for a newer 5904. That said, I agree this looks more like a 3rd gen S&amp;W rather than a 2nd Gen, and there are the markings too.. I suppose it's possible they could have gotten a 5904 variant with the left-side-only safety (ala 3913/3914 LSs/NLs) - That's very unlikely, but not impossible. Bah.
