'''''Sisi''''' is a 2009 two-part television movie about Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary. In a politically explosive time, the paths of the liberally educated, fun-loving Elisabeth and Franz Joseph, who was educated according to strict military standards, cross. It is love at first sight and Franz makes the decision; unusually emotional and against the will of his strict mother, Archduchess Sophie; to take Sisi as his wife.
