Kohran Li uses a fictional pistol while assuming the role of Shonen Red (Red Lad) throughout the Gouka Kenran episode "Masked Red of Paper Moon". She uses it to "take out" a steam construction robot controlled by a thug trying to demolish a neighborhood. Some of its features appear to be taken from the Sauer 38H and the Walther PP Super.

A [[M61 Vulcan]] machine gun (with four barrel holes instead of six) makes an anachronistic appearance as one of the main weapons of Iris' Koubu in the middle of the Ouka Kenran OVA episode "Spring is the Time for First Battles". Unfortunately, she doesn't make good use of it since the gunfire hits Sakura's Koubu, several empty houses and nearly killed IJA soldiers manning the Souki Bridge roadblock.
