			The fourteenth season of ''[[Law & Order]]'' was notable for being the final season for actor [[Jerry Orbach]], who had portrayed Detective Lennie Briscoe for 12 seasons. The season also marked only the second time that the series did not undergo any major cast changes for two successive seasons. In the season's 19th episode "Nowhere Man", Michael Bloomberg, then the mayor of New York City, made an appearance as himself.
