In 2015 the Boberg Arms Corporation was acquired by Bond Arms, and in 2016 they released an updated version of the XR9-S known as the '''Bond Arms BullPup9'''. The BullPup9 is largely identical to the earlier XR9-S, with the biggest difference being that the magazine now features a follower (another unusual feature of the original Boberg was that the bare magazine spring fed rounds up in the magazine).
