	Alphaville is a B&W 1965 science fiction film about an American Private Detective who goes to a futuristic city on another planet that has outlawed all emotions and expressions. The director was famed French Filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. The American Lemmy Caution ([[Eddie Constantine]]) seeks a scientist and eventually meets up with the mans' daughter Natacha von Braun ([[Anna Karina]]) as a way to find him. The tension of a building love between the man and the woman in a society that has outlawed love was a common theme in sci fi literature of the time, the most obvious to many people being the doomed love story in the book and film ''[[1984 (aka Nineteen Eighty-Four)]]''.
