'''''Chicago Fire''''' is a television drama that follows the lives of firefighters and paramedics serving in the Chicago Fire Department.   The series premiered in the US on NBC in 2012.  In 2013, ''Chicago Fire'' would introduce several characters that would go on to star in ''[[Chicago P.D.]]'', a spinoff series that follows officers in the Chicago Police Department.  Both series are being executive-produced by Dick Wolf, who is responsible for the series ''[[Law & Order]]'' and its [[:Category: Law & Order|spinoffs]].  The drama is set in the same universe as ''[[Law & Order: Special Victims Unit]]'', as evidenced by a Season 3 crossover episode with both ''[[Chicago P.D.]]'' and SVU.
