It is well worth buying. They are very reliable and accurate. I like the fact that it breaks down similar to a 1911 but the hammer assembly is one piece that makes it easier to clean. I would suggest trying to find one in 9mm or one that includes both the 7.62x25mm and 9mm barrels. The Norinco 213 is the same as a Tokarev but somewhat easier to find one but includes a safety that is actually a good one.[[Special:Contributions/96.32.133.162|96.32.133.162]] 04:02, 15 December 2009 (UTC)&lt;br /&gt;

I'm confused as to why this pistol and its proprietary 7.62x25mm round was deemed obsolete by the Soviets and replaced by the 9x18mm Makarov round, a cartridge that was arguably obsolete right from the moment it was designed due to the popularity and widespread use of the already-in-use 9x19mm Parabellum round. I've heard that the 7.62x25mm Tokarev round is supposed to possess more velocity and better kinetic energy than most 9x19mm Parabellum loadings, coupled with better kevlar penetration against low-level ballistic armour, so it seems a bit of a mystery to me as to why they would &amp;quot;downgrade&amp;quot; their pistols and SMGs from something that wasn't broken in the first place. &lt;br /&gt;

Also, if indeed the hype about the 7.62x25mm round is true, then does that mean the PPSh-41 was the FN P90 of its day, or that the TT-Tokarev was the Five-SeveN pistol of its day?&lt;br /&gt;

For the 1st section of this post: &lt;br /&gt;
I looked up some information about the Makarov round and the Tokarev round. The Makarov round was designed because the Red Army wanted a simple pistol using the Direct Blowback system (the Makarov PM, PMM, etc), and to prevent the chance of ammunition falling into Western Hands and being used against the Red Army in the event of war. (information paraphrased from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9mm_Makarov). &lt;br /&gt;
Come to think of it, a similar situation occurred with the American-180 Sub machine gun, chambered in the .22LR round, which was designed as a weapon to arm police in the hope that should the weapon ever fall into the wrong hands and be used against police officers with ballistic vests, the officers would not be killed by a police issue weapon, due to the .22 round being a low penetration round.&lt;br /&gt;
For the 2nd part of this post:&lt;br /&gt;
I'd think the TT-33 being the Five-seveN of the day would be more appropriate, given the PPSh-41 not being very compact or that accurate after about 75 meters because of the high rate of fire and the not exactly great sights.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>

From what I can remember, the 4.6mm rounds tumble when entering the body, thus increasing the trauma delivered to tissue. Additionally, figure that the recoil of the MP7A1 would be soft compared to a number of other automatic weapons, which would enable more rapid yet aimed semi-automatic fire. the weight of the weapon in conjunction with the balance of the weapon allow it to be used in one hand, albeit with drastically reduced accuracy, but the option is there. The high-capacity magazine is light enough that you could carry a number of them. from what I gather, the weapon is very reliable, and as it is quite likely that production facilities would be abandoned, replacement parts would be limited, thus reliability would be a valued commodity. The weapon has enough accuracy and range to hit a pretty small target at about 200 meters. The optics could be replaced depending on the situation at hand, due to the rail on the weapon. the only downsides that i could think of would be that ammunition and magazines would be limited, given that the round is unique for the weapon at this time. It has a underbarrel flashlight that is unused in the game. It uses .45 ACP rounds in a 12 round magazine. It's recoil, capacity and stopping power make this gun the most balanced in classes, being slightly more powerful than the M9, but not as powerful as the M1911A1 or Desert Eagle. It is clearly a USP and ''not'' a SOCOM. It  has a USP safety, and several other features that are different from a Mk. 23. However, it is incorrectly seen with a HK1 LAM [Laser Aiming Module], which only fits the Mk. 23 SOCOM. It can be supressed. This pistol is one of the most powerful sidearms in the whole game.&lt;br /&gt;

It is also the gun slid to &amp;quot;Soap&amp;quot; in the final level by Price, used to take out Imran Zakhaev and his henchmen. Another stainless version is used by Staff Sergeant Griggs in the final level when tugging Soap to cover. It can be silenced.&lt;br /&gt;

In all versions it fires 5.7x28mm rounds from a 50-round magazine. As with its real world counterpart, the P90 is modeled with relatively weak per-hit damage and mediocre accuracy, but relies on a high rate of fire and large magazine capacity for its effectiveness.  The weapon is easy to wield in multiplayer, so much so that it has been restricted in competitive play due to its &amp;quot;spray&amp;quot; advantage over other weapons. Jackson's commander in the US levels, carries an M16A4/M203 combo as his weapon of choice. Modeled as full-auto, which would really be an M16A3, in the single-player mode, it fires 5.56mm NATO from a 30 round magazine.  In-game, the M16A4 is attributed the same damage as the AK-47 and G3, despite the real weapon having far from the energy of either.  In multiplayer, it is modeled accurately as an M16A4, firing a very quick three round burst, but with a slight pause between bursts.  This makes an on-target salvo from the M16 very effective, but also makes misses much more costly, especially in close-quarters when pitted against full-auto weapons. In Singleplayer the M16 is seen as fully automatic while still having the carrying handle of an A4, this is easily remedied by putting an A4 upper on an A3 Lower.&lt;br /&gt;

Online and especially in the competitive leagues, the AK-47 has become an established favorite for many of the same reasons it has in the real world; it is powerful and flexible, offering dependable performance in nearly every situation. This gun has a gold form most likely inspired by Saddam Hussein's gold AK-47. As another user pointed out, it is a hybrid, it is milled but has strengthening ribs.&lt;br /&gt;

I don't want to start a debate here, but I was playing MW the other day, and i noticed that there is no paddle release behind the magazine well. That would make this a HK91. I forgot the variants of the '91, sorry about that. I noticed this when I was playing single player out of boredom, and I had the Slow-motion cheat on, so I could see the magazine well pretty well.
