:Television series take a LOT of work, and the older ones are especially hard, especially if they're not available for streaming on Netflix or something. This show has 121 episodes, and even if you had the complete series box set and covered two episodes a day, that would still take you two months to complete. Since the mean age of the users here is in the early twenties, a series from the seventies is something few of them are going to be aware of. --Funkychinaman (talk) 23:19, 3 August 2013 (EDT)
I caught the pilot on Netflix, and I can't help but notice the similarities to Homicide: Life on the Street. Depressing urban setting? Check. Heck, they even have a black dude who's fluent in Italian like in Homicide. Here you go. Anyone recognize the pistol? it looks like a 5906 to me.
I caught the pilot on Netflix, and I can't help but notice the similarities to Homicide: Life on the Street. Depressing urban setting? Check. Rookie homicide detective paired up with prickly yet effective partner? Check. Dry-erase board with closed cases in black and open cases in red? Check. Documentary-style? Check. Heck, they even have a black dude who's fluent in Italian like in Homicide. There are only 18 episodes, so I can pitch in if you need help. --Funkychinaman (talk) 01:43, 26 October 2012 (EDT)
Haven't gotten a screenshot yet, but there is a 3rd Generation S&W pistol in a couple of episodes- Could be any number of stainless pistols- 5906, 4006etc. Will post here so we can figure this out.
Homicide: Season 8
I caught the pilot on Netflix, and I can't help but notice the similarities to Homicide: Life on the Street. Depressing urban setting? Check. Rookie homicide detective paired up with prickly yet effective partner? Check. Dry-erase board with closed cases in black and open cases in red? Check. Documentary-style? Check. Heck, they even have a black dude who's fluent in Italian like in Homicide. There are only 18 episodes, so I can pitch in if you need help. --Funkychinaman (talk) 01:43, 26 October 2012 (EDT)
Thanks. I'm going to need some help on what appears to be an M-4 of some sort in a few episodes- Sometimes in the hands of an FBI SWAT team the other time in the DPD SRT.
Detroit 1-8-7 was a television crime drama that followed a squad of homicide detectives in the Detroit Police Department. The cast included Michael Imperioli as Det. Louis Fitch, . The series title actually refers to the California Penal Code designation for homicide, which has since been adopted in popular culture as slang for murder. In reality, the Michigan Compiled Law (MCL) Chapter dealing with crimes, including murder, is MCL Chapter 750. The series aired on ABC for 18 episodes from 2010-2011.
Thanks for adding the Nambu pistol on the Hawaii Five-0 (1968) page. In the future, please use a DVD program such as VLC player that allows you to directly take screenshots. You can take a look at my User page to see how I capture screenshots from DVD's. --Ben41 04:44, 10 December 2011 (CST)

I don't have VLC. I have to use what I have.

VLC is a free program to download. If you are going to use another dvd program, you need to see it so you can't see any of the logos and crop off the excess black areas. Take a look at the revised screenshot for reference. --Ben41 10:39, 10 December 2011 (CST)

I guess I can crop stuff off by hand as needed.

:: If you're planning on adding screenshots for Hawaii Five-0, please upload the entire image instead of leaving white spaces. Please refer to the new images I've put up on that page. If you're having problems with VLC captures, you can try Fast Stone Image Viewer, which allows you to capture images right off your computer screen. --Ben41 18:15, 16 February 2012 (CST)
While you're still working on screenshots, it's best if you put up now the gun images of the weapons you believe are used in the series. As for whether the particular Glock is used, a front shot of the barrel can best determine this, as the larger the bore would mean a larger caliber. --Ben41 (talk) 01:07, 24 October 2012 (EDT)

Hawaii Five-0

I don't VLC. Nor do I have other one.
:Both are free to download. --Funkychinaman 20:57, 24 February 2012 (CST)
Please crop the black bars
Because Dragnet was shot in the 4x3 "Square" format, you need to crop the black bars off the sides before uploading. You can use Microsoft Picture manager to do this or Fast Stone Image Viewer (a free program to download). --Ben41 11:02, 10 December 2011 (CST)

I'll go back and do that when I get a chance.

Working on doing that. May take a day or 2.

Detroit 187
While you're still working on screenshots, it's best if you put up now the gun images of the weapons you believe are used in the series. As for whether the particular Glock is used, a front shot of the barrel can best determine this, as the larger the bore would mean a larger caliber. --Ben41 (talk) 01:07, 24 October 2012 (EDT)

I will do so. I know its a either a Glock 22 or 23- Frame size is what really determines which Glock
