== Glock 22 ==

The standard handgun in Grand Theft Auto IV is visibly a second generation [[Glock 22]]. It is the standard issue police sidearm and is used by all law enforcement agents and many other characters throughout the game, and is the first firearm in the game. Though it's difficult to discern in-game, looking at the weapon's texture close-up reveals the number "22" on the slide, confirming that it is a Glock 22, despite its seventeen-round magazine not including a 2 round extension cap and in-game references to it being a "9mm." In addition, the front sights are simply a mirror image of the rear sights. It is also the primary gun a vigilante will use when attacking. The gun also has a wide slide that is typically found on a [[Glock 21]].

In ''The Ballad of Gay Tony'', Tony Prince attempts to commit suicide with a Glock after an associate of his is kidnapped, but fails because he "didn't know to take the safety off." This is incorrect for a real Glock, though some airsoft Glocks use the slide lock tabs as a trigger safety; this may have been the source of the error since other guns in the game are based on airsoft weapons.

== Desert Eagle Mark XIX ==

A variety of characters use a "Combat Pistol," a [[Desert Eagle Mark XIX]] with a 9-round magazine, but with the .50AE version's unfluted barrel. The lettering on the slide implies it was based on a reference model with .50AE or .44 markings, since it says it is a "Deagle .47." It is (obviously) more powerful than the Glock, though the somewhat slower rate of fire and lower capacity make its superiority to the Glock a matter of opinion.

A cheap and poorly done airsoft version of the [[Ithaca_37#Ithaca_37_.22Stakeout.22|Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"]] appears as the "Pump Shotgun." Various gang members, biker vigilantes, and some LCPD, NOOSE, and FIB officers make use of it. The in-game version has a side-mounted ejection port instead of the Ithaca's underside loading/ejection port, no loading port at all, and holds eight shells instead of the Ithaca's four.

Packie McReary uses one during "Three Leaf Clover" before switching to his AK47 and Gordon Sargent uses one during the mission "Waste Not Want Knots."

The [[Remington 1100|Remington 1100 TAC 4]] semi-auto appears as the "Combat Shotgun." It becomes available later in the game, and can be obtained from LCPD patrol cars even though the cops themselves use the Pump Shotgun when provoked. The in-game version can hold ten shells, two more than its real-life counterpart. It also has a fancy thumbhole stock, barrel ribbing, and a bayonet mount. Interesting to note, while the shotgun is semi-automatic in normal combat, when blind-firing the weapon around a corner, Niko will rack a non-existent pump.

The [[MP5#Special Weapons MP-10 and SP-10|MP-10]] is standard issue for LCPD N.O.O.S.E. teams and is also used by some gang members. It has a smaller magazine capacity (thirty rounds) than the Micro SMG, but despite using the same 9mm cartridge, is more accurate, more damaging, and has a somewhat longer effective range. During the reloading animation, the charging handle incorrectly locks back on its own before changing magazines.

The [[M16 rifle series#M4/M4A1 Carbine|M4A1 Carbine]] is issued to LCPD N.O.O.S.E teams, prison guards, and select officers guarding public places such as subway stations and the airport, and appears to have the carry handle removed and has only a stick-up rear sight. The firearm also appears in the hands of organized crime groups. It also appears to have a much longer barrel than the standard 14.5 inch. Niko uses an M4A1 during the mission "Three Leaf Clover."

The weapon's scope is modelled after the [[SVD Dragunov]]'s PSO-1 reticle and features a stadiametric rangefinder, which (as is standard in most games) is for decoration only; the bullets always hit the dead centre of the crosshair regardless of range.

It is the only shotgun in the series so far that can be fired from a motorcycle. Unlike the other shotguns in the game, this shotgun has an accurate ammo capacity of only two shells. On a bike, this weapon is very effective, as it can take down almost any target in no time. On foot, it has a very wide range but a very slow rate of fire due to its small capacity. It's a good weapon to have, but can't compare to the Street Sweeper.

The [[Armsel_Striker_and_variants#SWD.2FCobray_Street_Sweeper|SWD / Cobray Street Sweeper]] is called an "Assault Shotgun" in the game, but characters also refer to it as a "Street Sweeper." It holds an incorrect eight shells and is incorrectly portrayed as being fully automatic with an extremely high rate of fire (the real-life Cobray Street Sweeper holds ten or twelve rounds and is semi-automatic). It can dispatch enemies and vehicles in no time, including helicopters. It is introduced in the mission "Heavy Toll," but is notably used during the mission "Shifting Weight." As with the assault rifles in the base game, ingame characters will reload the Street Sweeper with a pull of a nonexistent charging handle, and then simply willing eight fresh 12 gauge shells into existence. The real weapon instead required shells to be loaded one-by-one into the magazine, and had a cocking lever mounted on the right side of the barrel rather than the left side of the magazine as the animation implied.

Two [[GE M134 Minigun]]s are seen attached to the game's two attack helicopters, the Annihilator and the Buzzard. Both weapons have an unlimited supply of bullets, though the Annihilator will overheat and need to stop firing if too many rounds are fired at once. Also, in The Lost and Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony, the Annihilator will fire explosive rounds making it much more effective. The miniguns on the Annihilator fire alternately, at a much slower rate than that of a real minigun, which typically has a fire rate of 2000 to 6000 rounds per minute. The TLAD/TBoGT Annihilator has an even slower fire rate, to balance out their explosive rounds. The Buzzard's MG has a much faster fire rate, more in-keeping with that of a real minigun.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is the sequel to the original "Battlefield: Bad Company". BF:BC2 uses the newest game engine called "Frostbite Engine", and it enables players to destroy any objects in the map (almost 90%) and deform the ground with explosives. The engine also gives bullets travel time and drop over distance, though this is mostly only noticed with sniper rifles. This game released in the U.S on March 2, 2010. A pre-order package comes with instantly unlocked unlockable weapons and vehicle upgrades. Those being the Thompson M1928 Submachine Gun, Colt M1911A1 Pistol, Tracer Dart Pistol, vehicle Armor Upgrade, vehicle Secondary Weapon and vehicle Motion Detector. The Tracer Dart Gun is a non-lethal weapon used by both Russian and American forces. The tracer darts it fires grants lock-on capabilities to allied Engineers using the RPG-7 or Carl Gustav launchers. Unlocked by default on all pre-ordered copies, but can be acquired through experience for those who did not pre-order. Unlike in the original Bad Company, the Engineer has to lock on the target by looking through the scope of the rocket launcher for a few seconds at the tracer point. After it locks on, a distance will be given. The Engineer is then free to fire in any direction, and the rocket will home in on the target. It is also capable of tracking and locking on while embedded on enemy personnel instead of vehicles.

The standard handgun in Grand Theft Auto IV is visibly a second generation [[Glock#Glock_22|Glock 22]]. It is the standard issue police sidearm and is used by all law enforcement agents and many other characters throughout the game, and is the first firearm in the game. Though it's difficult to discern in-game, looking at the weapon's texture close-up reveals the number "22" on the slide, confirming that it is a Glock 22, despite its seventeen-round magazine not including a 2 round extension cap and in-game references to it being a "9mm." In addition, the front sights are simply a mirror image of the rear sights. It is also the primary gun a vigilante will use when attacking the player. The gun also has a wide slide that is typically found on a [[Glock 21]].

In ''The Ballad of Gay Tony'', Tony Prince attempts to commit suicide with a Glock after an associate of his is kidnapped, but fails because he "didn't know to take the safety off." This is incorrect for a real Glock, though some airsoft Glocks use the slide lock tabs as a trigger safety; this may have been the source of the error since other guns in the game are based on airsoft weapons.

A variety of characters use a "Combat Pistol," a [[Desert Eagle Mark XIX]] with a 9-round magazine, but with the .50AE version's unfluted barrel. A cheap and poorly done airsoft version of the [[Ithaca_37#Ithaca_37_.22Stakeout.22|Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"]] appears as the "Pump Shotgun." Various gang members, biker vigilantes, and some LCPD, NOOSE, and FIB officers make use of it. The in-game version has a side-mounted ejection port instead of the Ithaca's underside loading/ejection port, no loading port at all, and holds eight shells instead of the Ithaca's four.

Packie McReary uses one during "Three Leaf Clover" before switching to his AK47 and Gordon Sargent uses one during the mission "Waste Not Want Knots."

"The Lost and Damned" has two versions of this particular weapon: The first is the thumbhole-stocked version from the original game (seen above), which is available for purchase from Terry's gun van and normal weapon shops. The second version is fitted with a carbine retractable stock, pistol grip, and Picatinny rail. This version seems to be an Easter egg found in certain locations, such as the apartment building in the mission "Buyers Market." This version also appears in one of the trailers. It looks somewhat similar to the shotgun in Grand Theft Auto V.

This sawed-off [[12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun]] is called the "Sawed off Shotgun" in the game. It is the first weapon that you are equipped with at the start. It is the only shotgun in the series so far that can be fired from a motorcycle. Unlike the other shotguns in the game, this shotgun has an accurate ammo capacity of only two shells. On a bike, this weapon is very effective, as it can take down almost any target in no time. On foot, it has a very wide range but a very slow rate of fire due to its small capacity. It is the standard issue police sidearm and is used by all law enforcement agents and many other characters throughout the game. Though it's difficult to discern in-game, looking at the weapon's texture close-up reveals the number "22" on the slide, confirming that it is a Glock 22, despite its seventeen-round magazine not including a 2 round extension cap and in-game references to it being a "9mm." In addition, the front sights are simply a mirror image of the rear sights. It is also the primary gun a vigilante will use when attacking the player. The gun also has a wide slide that is typically found on a [[Glock 21]].

In ''The Ballad of Gay Tony'', Tony Prince attempts to commit suicide with a Glock after an associate of his is kidnapped, but fails because he "didn't know to take the safety off." A cheap and poorly done airsoft version of the [[Ithaca_37#Ithaca_37_.22Stakeout.22|Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"]] appears as the "Pump Shotgun." Various gang members, biker vigilantes, and some LCPD, NOOSE, and FIB officers make use of it. The in-game version has a side-mounted ejection port instead of the Ithaca's underside loading/ejection port, no loading port at all, and holds eight shells instead of the Ithaca's four.

Packie McReary uses one during "Three Leaf Clover" before switching to his AK47 and Gordon Sargent uses one during the mission "Waste Not Want Knots."

The game's version of this weapon is a [[CZ 75|CZ 75 Automatic]], the machine pistol version of the CZ 75 pistol. It holds seventeen rounds and is referred to as the "Automatic 9mm." "The Lost and Damned" has two versions of this particular weapon: The first is the thumbhole-stocked version from the original game (seen above), which is available for purchase from Terry's gun van and normal weapon shops. The second version is fitted with a carbine retractable stock, pistol grip, and Picatinny rail. This version seems to be an Easter egg found in certain locations, such as the apartment building in the mission "Buyers Market." This version also appears in one of the trailers.

This sawed-off [[12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun]] is called the "Sawed off Shotgun" in the game. It is the first weapon that you are equipped with at the start. It is the only shotgun in the series so far that can be fired from a motorcycle. Unlike the other shotguns in the game, this shotgun has an accurate ammo capacity of only two shells. On a bike, this weapon is very effective, as it can take down almost any target in no time. On foot, it has a very wide range but a very slow rate of fire due to its small capacity. It's a good weapon to have, but can't compare to the Street Sweeper.

The standard handgun in Grand Theft Auto IV is visibly a second generation [[Glock#Glock_22|Glock 22]]. It is the standard issue police sidearm and is used by all law enforcement agents and many other characters throughout the game. Though it's difficult to discern in-game, looking at the weapon's texture close-up reveals the number "22" on the slide, confirming that it is a Glock 22, despite its seventeen-round magazine not including a 2 round extension cap and in-game references to it being a "9mm." In addition, the front sights are simply a mirror image of the rear sights. It is also the primary gun a vigilante will use when attacking the player. The gun also has a wide slide that is typically found on a [[Glock 21]].

In ''The Ballad of Gay Tony'', Tony Prince attempts to commit suicide with a Glock after an associate of his is kidnapped, but fails because he "didn't know to take the safety off." This is incorrect for a real Glock, though some Airsoft Glocks use the slide lock tabs as a trigger safety; this may have been the source of the error since other guns in the game are based on Airsoft weapons.

A cheap and poorly done airsoft version of the [[Ithaca_37#Ithaca_37_.22Stakeout.22|Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"]] appears as the "Pump Shotgun." Various gang members, biker vigilantes, and some LCPD, NOOSE, and FIB officers make use of it. The in-game version has a side-mounted ejection port instead of the Ithaca's underside loading/ejection port, no loading port at all, and holds eight shells instead of the Ithaca's four.

Packie McReary uses one during "Three Leaf Clover" before switching to his AK47 and Gordon Sargent uses one during the mission "Waste Not Want Knots."

The [[M16 rifle series#M4/M4A1 Carbine|M4A1 Carbine]] is issued to LCPD N.O.O.S.E teams, prison guards, and select officers guarding public places such as subway stations and the airport, and appears to have the carry handle removed and has only a stick-up rear sight. It also appears to have a much longer barrel than the standard 14.5 inch. Niko uses an M4A1 during the mission "Three Leaf Clover."

The basic bolt action sniper rifle featured in the game is the [[Remington 700]], used by the majority of marksmen. The weapon is fitted with a ten-round box magazine like an M24A2, but only holds five rounds for gameplay purposes. Niko uses one to cover Packie during a drug deal and when he later hits a construction site with Playboy X.

The "Combat Sniper" rifle is a [[Heckler_%26_Koch_G3#H.26K_PSG-1|PSG-1]]. It has pinpoint accuracy and holds ten rounds, but is (appropriately) very expensive. The weapon's scope is modelled after the [[SVD Dragunov]]'s PSO-1 reticle and features a stadiametric rangefinder, which (as is standard in most games) is for decoration only; the bullets always hit the dead centre of the crosshair regardless of range.

The game's version of this weapon is a [[CZ 75|CZ 75 Automatic]], the machine pistol version of the CZ 75 pistol. It holds seventeen rounds and is referred to as the "Automatic 9mm." It is introduced in the mission "Bad Cop Drop." It is very accurate and has a very high firing rate, but it isn't that powerful. The game's Glock 22 even seems to do more damage than this pistol.

"The Lost and Damned" has two versions of this particular weapon: The first is the thumbhole-stocked version from the original game (seen above), which is available for purchase from Terry's gun van and normal weapon shops. The second version is fitted with a carbine retractable stock, pistol grip, and Picatinny rail. This version seems to be an Easter egg found in certain locations, such as the apartment building in the mission "Buyers Market." This version also appears in one of the trailers.

This sawed-off [[12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun]] is called the "Sawed off Shotgun" in the game. It is the first weapon that you are equipped with at the start. It is the only shotgun in the series so far that can be fired from a motorcycle. Unlike the other shotguns in the game, this shotgun has an accurate ammo capacity of only two shells. On a bike, this weapon is very effective, as it can take down almost any target in no time. On foot, it has a very wide range but a very slow rate of fire due to its small capacity. It's a good weapon to have, but can't compare to the Street Sweeper.

The [[Armsel_Striker_and_variants#SWD.2FCobray_Street_Sweeper|SWD / Cobray Street Sweeper]] is called an "Assault Shotgun" in the game, but characters also refer to it as a "Street Sweeper." It holds an incorrect eight shells and is incorrectly portrayed as being fully automatic with an extremely high rate of fire (the real-life Cobray Street Sweeper holds ten or twelve rounds and is semi-automatic). It can dispatch enemies and vehicles in no time, including helicopters. It is introduced in the mission "Heavy Toll," but is notably used during the mission "Shifting Weight."

It is introduced in the mission "Action/Reaction." It is very effective, but sometimes overshoots your intended target. Though it fires one grenade at a time, up to twenty can be held in reserve. It returns in ''The Ballad of Gay Tony'', this time with grenades which explode on impact with enemies or on a timer otherwise.

An [[AA-12 (Auto Assault-12)|AA-12 CQB]] with a twenty-round drum magazine. Called "Automatic Shotgun", despite the fact it (incorrectly) fires in semi-automatic. This is likely for game balance, as its real fire rate of 300 RPM would make it insanely overpowered. It is also available as the "Explosive Shotgun", which as the name implies, fires explosive FRAG-12 rounds, identifiable by the green shells it ejects. These shells have massive concussive force, deforming vehicles on impact.

The shape of the forend of the slide is the shape of some of the subcompact models like the 26, the dimensions of the Glock itself have the slide length of a standard frame like a Glock 17 but the grip seems stunted and off a slightly smaller compact model like the 15-round Glock 19. == Desert Eagle ==

The [[Desert Eagle]] has more recoil and a slower rate of fire than the standard sidearms, but has much more stopping power and greater accuracy. The pistol holds 8 rounds like the .44 Magnum version, even though it is modeled after the .50 caliber version. This weapon usually kills common infected with a single shot. When found in Whitaker's Gun Shop, a sign names the pistol "Desert Cobra," and the game claims that only 2000 were ever made and prices them at 2000 dollars apiece.

Interestingly, its flashlight is attached via a rifle scope ring mount and an aftermarket underbarrel rail. integrated

== Ingram MAC-10 ==
The MAC-10 ingame is fitted with the legendary Mitchell Werbell suppressor, along with a flashlight attached to it with zip ties, and is chambered in .45 ACP, evidenced by the fact that it does more damage and has more recoil than the Uzi. The MAC-10 has a 50 round magazine with a extra 650 rounds in reserve, despite the fact the one used in the game is modeled after a 30-round magazine.

Like its [[Counter-Strike]] incarnation, the MAC-10 in this game has a strap attached to the barrel to serve as a makeshift foregrip, but for some reason no characters actually use it ingame, preferring instead to put their offhand just in front of the trigger on the underside of the weapon (as they do with the ingame Uzi). A graphical error with this weapon still makes it emit light from the muzzle blast (thought not the actual muzzle flash) when fired in First Person perspective, and the muzzle flash is still unrealistically unsuppressed when looking at characters firing the weapon from the third person perspective. Goes for $399.99 in the gun shop and referred to as a machine pistol.

The [[Ruger Mini-14]] hunting rifle has been carried over from the previous game.

Hip accuracy has been significantly increased compared to the L4D1 version, in fact it is the most accurate weapon on the move in L4D2. With a laser sight it is even more accurate on the move than any SMG. It is also slightly more accurate than the Sniper Rifle. It has a capacity of 15 rounds even though it is modeled with a 10 round magazine. Went for $399.99 in the gun shop.

== AKM ==

The [[AK-47#AKM|AKM]] has a 40 round magazine which is 10 less than the M16 and 20 less than the SCAR-L. It also has the lowest rate of fire of the assault rifles, but also does very good damage to the Infected.

Its identified as an AKM by its muzzle compensator, stamped steel receiver, night sight mounting bracket on the left side and plastic 7.62x39mm, 30 round magazines. However, it has a 40 round capacity which is possible in real life by using [[RPK light machine gun|RPK]] magazines, although it makes the weapon rather bulky. Like the MAC-10, it has a flashlight secured via zip ties to the handguard of the weapon.Went for 1999.99 in the store.

== FN SCAR-L ==
The [[FN SCAR#FN SCAR-L|FN SCAR-L]] is called the "Combat Rifle" in-game and holds an unrealistic 60 rounds of ammunition despite the fact that it's modeled with a 30 round STANAG magazine (same as the M16's, though it appears much longer in the world model), and fires in a three-shot burst (which real SCAR-Ls do not have). Although if you keep the trigger depressed, it will fire successive three-shot bursts without the need to pull the trigger again. It also has very high accuracy and appears to do more damage than the M16. In addition, The SCAR-L in the game seems to be modeled after the FN SCAR 16S, a civilian version of the SCAR-L with a 16" barrel and a M16A2 flash-hider, but oddly, it has "Mk.17" markings on the side of the weapon (denoting the SCAR-H). Went for 1999.99 in the store.

The [[Heckler & Koch G3#Heckler & Koch MSG90|Heckler & Koch MSG90A1]] serves as a long range weapon like the [[Ruger Mini-14]] from the first game. It is modeled after the H&K MSG90A1 sniper rifle, with some features from the H&K G3/SG1. It has the MSG90A1's stock, trigger group, and barrel, but it also has the G3/SG1's fore-grip and bi-pod, rear sight (which is the same as rest of the G3 series) and scope mount. Its magazine holds 30 rounds (even though it's modeled with a 20 round magazine), which is double that of the previous hunting rifle. Cost 1999.099 in the shop

== M60 machine gun ==

The [[M60 machine gun]] is only available in The Passing and No Mercy DLC (it may be in the Sacrifice). It carries only 150 rounds and, after being depleted, is dropped (That's right, no reloading). The Survivor will then revert back to their secondary weapon, much like with the Grenade Launcher. There is an Achievement called "Till it Goes Click" ([[The Big Lebowski]] reference), which requires the player to mow down 25 infected without letting go of the trigger.

== M79 grenade launcher ==

The [[M79 grenade launcher]] acts as a single-shot, area-effect weapon, it must be reloaded after every shot and the wielder must pay particular attention not to hurt themselves or their teammates with the explosion.

It comes with 30 grenades plus one already in the weapon, it can kill a Tank in only 2-5 hits (on Normal difficulty), and has almost no arc, unlike most games including HL2. It can also use incendiary and fragmentation rounds if incendiary or fragmentation ammo boxes are used, and for some bizarre reason, you can also put a laser sight on it.

Because of the strict censorship in Germany (and also in Australia and elsewhere in the world), Valve decided to add 4 [[Counter-Strike: Source]] weapons. Players are able to use them even in non-German versions of the game if they play with someone with the German version or in custom campaigns set to spawn them. Players can also use these weapons via cheat in the console but they will deal no damage unless the map is restarted or they are carried through to the next map via safe room.

==Heckler & Koch MP5N ==
