The guns
The gun Derrick is holding is a Ruger P90

The revolver looks like a Smith and Wesson Model 19. It may be a Model 15 .38 Special - there is no ejector rod housing apparent in the picture.

The gun Little Henry shoots Danny with is a Beretta 92.

You also forgot to add Seth, he has some model of Glock in the movie which he lays down in the bathroom and also when Danny is at the party.

You can zoom in on the gun Seth is carrying if you have the dvd Of American History X. It reads Sig Pro on the side.

:No, it doesn't. I have the DVD, and it is clearly a Glock 20 or 21. And since this movie came out in 1998 and would have been filmed in 1997 (movies are almost always released a year after filming), it's impossible for the Sig Pro to have been in the movie because the gun was first introduced in 1998.

24 rounds with the p94
after the 9th round you can hear the slide returns off-screen which would mean
9 -> reload -> 15
so with a little editing mistake and full cap magazines it is actually possible.
AR-15 Sporter II Carbine
Tugg Speedman (Ben Stiller), along with various other characters, uses a 16" barreled AR-15 Sporter II Carbine throughout the film, which is anachronistic for Vietnam . The original AR-15 Carbine was an SP1 (sold between 1978-1985)), so there was no forward Assist on the upper receiver. Stiller's gun is the A1 version, or what Colt called the "Sporter II version" in U.S. sales. The Colt Model 653 based weapons came after 1973. He should be using an XM177 variation or the original AR-15 to be accurate to the era. It may be an homage to the movie Platoon since the characters of Barnes (Tom Berenger) and Elias (Willem Dafoe) used the Phillipine export Colt Model 653 rifles. This film uses what is available in the United States, which happens to be the Sporter II carbine, since most of the movie was filmed in Los Angeles and Hawaii.
M60
Jeff "Fats" Portnoy (Jack Black) wields an M60 Machine Gun as his weapon in the film. Jack Black commented on how he got stuck with the M60, which he knew was nicknamed "The Pig", and was told he was a natural with it, something he found disturbing. Some other random soldiers are also seen firing M60s during the opening scene.
One of the Guerillas is seen holding a Colt Gold Cup National Match 1911 pistol on Cody (Danny R. McBride) when he flies a chopper to their Heroin base and Portnoy is seen armed with it before Tran kicks it out of his hand, implying it is a rubber prop.
Lazarus is seen using an M1911A1 as his sidearm in the film and uses it several times. Portnoy later gets his hands on it and uses it to hold Tran (Brandon Soo Hoo) hostage.
M60D
A door-gunner is seen manning an M60D machine gun during the opening "Hot LZ" scene. The M60D was used on helicopters during the Vietnam War.

M67 "Baseball" grenade
Speedman and Portnoy are seen with M67 hand grenades attached to their belts and jackets. Since their film is supposed to take place in 1969, it makes sense to see them with these grenades, since '69 was when the M67 began to mass replace the M26 grenade.
During the opening "Hot LZ" scene, a Vietnamese soldier tries to throw a Vietnam Era Chinese Type 67 Stick Grenade at the Huey chopper as it takes off, so Speedman jumps up and stops the grenade, losing his hands in the process. The "tin can" style Type 67 (also called the Type II) and the Pineapple style Type 58 stick grenades were commonly used by NVA (PAVN) soldiers or VC Guerrillas during the war.
AKM
North Vietnamese soldiers are seen armed with AKM rifles during the opening "Hot LZ" scene, one of which most notably disembowels Sandsuky with his bayonet. In real life, it would be more accurate for the Vietnamese to use Soviet AK-47s or Chinese Type 56 rifles, the Chinese copy of the AK. An AKM at this time in history is an anachronism, Hanoi didn't get AKMs from the Soviet Union in any sort of numbers until 1972 and it would take at least a year for guns to filter down to the troops in the field. Even during the fall of Saigon in 1975 there are virtually no AKMs seen in wartime photographs of front line NVA units. At the point depicted in the movie within a movie, 99% of the guns in the field were Chinese Type 56s or vintage AK-47s. Later the guerrilla soldiers can be seen armed with AKM rifles, which appear to be Egyptian Maadi ARM rifles, one of the most common AKMs used in films.
From the size and 5 chambered cylinder i'd say lohans revolver is a Smith n Wesson 500 - CaptainSnikt
Oh yeah, when they freeze oh her licking it? Heh, I'm pretty sure i saw Don Johnson packing a 1911 variant - Captain Snikt
Engraved Series 80
The engraved nickel 1911a1 doesn't need the last line implying a different frame from the stock gun. The Colts with the large roll mark saying MKIV Series 80 had the arched mainspring housing and short trigger exactly as this pistol appears. This is how the full size Colts were made in the 80s.

The CURRENT Colt Series 80s have the flat mainspring housing and the long trigger, I think that is where the confusion is coming from.

The pistol in the picture does not appear to be modified in any way (except for the engraving of course.) The last line in the description that says "Though the slide is marked "MK IV Series 80", it appears to have been a standard M1911A1 frame" should be deleted. This is a standard Colt Government Model made in the 1980s. -User:Zenner22
::Cool! Thanks Zenner22. Though I photographed the actual gun used by Robert DeNiro, I did NOT write that section. Just got home from seeing it. Theres quite a bit of gun porn in it. I believe I saw a USAS 12 a lot of different 1911s, a spas 12, an mp5k, and maybe a couple more

Yeah, I noticed several of those too, one guy had an MP5K-PDW, and I think I saw a Mk. 23 as well. Oh, also, in the first scene of the movie, some of Seagal's henchmen are carrying some sort of AKs or AK knockoffs.

:Just saw it myself. It seems everyone in the film uses a stainless 1911 at some point. Also, I noticed during the credits that this film (unlike many) actually gave its armourer a credit. == Okay, two things ==

First of all, the double barreled sawn-off doesn't look like a twelve gauge to me. The barrels look much too large for a twelve, though it might just be perspective. Also, why would anyone need a compensator for a .22? 67.191.192.233 00:19, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
Bump-firing with a extended magazine? BeardedHoplite 00:21, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
::.22's may be small but in a pistol they still have some muzzle flip, so a compensator can be used to make the pistol pretty much completely recoiless, which is very useful when target shooting when you have to drill the same target multiple times quickly.
: Are you talking about the P22? Because all the compensator really does is lengthen the barrel, enabling you to actually shoot it with some amount of accuracy-S&Wshooter 15:29, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
