Winchester here...i just saw the trailer and saw that bullets do in fact work against the terminators as they havent been armored too well yet. And the rifle is in fact an H&K 416.

:5.56x45mm FMJs would ricochet off "simple steel" like none other. Either the metal that Terminators are made of isnt that hardened or everybody's using APRs, but i doubt it, so i'm guessing lesser armored Terminators. [[User:The Winchester|The Winchester]]

The T800s use hardened armor of a special metal. This is rare. T600s are made of simpler metals, which ammo can punch through. Most guns are shown as ineffective though.
:I prefer real guns though and i think i read in some terminator books how the T-600 are made of normal metal which normal rifle rounds and 45 ACP can punch through. In the original Terminator, Kyle Reese remarks about the T-800: "Underneath, it's a hyper-alloy combat chassis - micro processor-controlled, fully armored. Very tough....[t]he 600 series had rubber skin. We spotted them easy." I could be wrong, but when I was looking at the .PNG, i saw what looked to be part of an H&K Safety/Fire Selector. I don't ever recall seeing that type of fire selector on an M4A1, and i don't think it was a piece of debris either, as what I saw was a white rectangle aligned with the reciever

And yes it is a 416, I took a closer look at the selector switch. I guess they gave the one used by Christian Bale, a longer barrel and swapped out the sights for those we see. Another Reason it cannot be an M468 is that it is lacking the M468's signature SIR handguard. Without it the gun is again put into question whether it is really an HK416 instead of the M468.

Quick update, it is using YHM flip up iron sights. It is a 416, as noted by the rail system, special upper receiver, and special lower receiver. Please update the info to include that it uses YHM BUIS, as I had a hell of a time tracking it down!

There's a machine gun mounted on top of the tow truck (the first time we see the moto terminators in the car chase scene). It looks like an M249 or M240. Anyone else? - Gunkatas

There are also LMGs on top of some of the resistances pickups. No really good shot s of them though. They could be SAWS, 240s, PKMs, or Vecktors for all I know.

Looked like an m60 to mee.

In one one the scens where John Conner is doing a radio broadcast, one of the resistance fighters in the cell in the jungle has an Uzi. A rather poor choice for fighting the machines if you ask me.

One severael resistance members that get off the choppers at the begining have Either M16s, or M4s, and at least some of them have underbarrel M203s. In addition at least one resistance member at John Conner's base has and M16 A4 with a 203 uncer a barrel, and what I belive to be an M68 red dot sight.

I added details on the USP. There were also numerous FALs and AK47's as well as CAR15's used. Don't have pictures of these though. The CAR15 is used I believe by the SA commandos at the end.

Thanks for the help with the formatting, I suck with this whole wiki thing so still figuring it out. I know most of the guns by hand so i'm looking for some more pictures :). If worse comes to worse, when I get home, I will insert the dvd and do some screen captures and some more pictures.

Yep, he's a good actor. I should be home today so I can load up my movie and get some screen captures of more weapons. Theres a few more I know I definitely missed. One of them is Dannys Glock at the beginning which I think was a Glock 26 subcompact, the other is a pistol that the general of the RUF carrys at the beginning, probably a Makarov or some other Soviet design. More pictures and guns for the movie coming tonite :)

I've uploaded all the guns I was able to find or get clearly from the movie. There were a few I had trouble with, parts with the local militia, there is some unknown bolt action rifle in the background but it isn't clearly seen and probably very difficult to identify, towards the beginning of the movie, looks like some of the militia men may have FAL's. Also where Danny is at the border smuggling diamonds, border control stop him and it appears one of the members has a unidentifiable gun, maybe a south african R5? I can only see the handguard. Wasn't able to identify 2 of the revolvers or the machine guns.

Not quite used to the layout yet so i'm a bit sloppy, looks like another guys trying to fix the format though.

It seems to me that the door-mounted machine guns of the Hind are PKs or PKMs rather than NSVs. One, their barrels seem too short and not robust enough, and two, PK machine guns are standard issue for the Hind helicopter (both the Russians and various PMCs such as Executive Outcomes use PKs in their Hinds).

I am sorry, but I cannot see how anybody can be sure that it is an FN FAL. The film obviously occurs in South Africa, and they obviously have access to a large amount of South African military technology (as exemplified by the presence of R4 series rifles, BXP submachine guns, SS-77 machine guns, NTW-20 anti-material rifles, Atlas Oryx helicopters, and Cassipir armored cars) so how can anyone be sure that this is not an R1. It fits all of the pictures I have seen of earlier-manufactured R1s (which do feature wooden furniture and contain Belgian-made components) and it only makes since that it would be an R1. I like how this page is divided. What I mean is how you divide the guns into guns from each series (for example, making a section for the Beretta 92 Pistol series) and then subdivide them into each gun (making a subsection for the Beretta 92FS).
