The weapons are actually described in the dialogue as "M249 Squad Automatic Weapons", but they are actually K3s standing in for the M249, which is common in productions filmed in British Columbia.

The weapons are actually described in the dialogue as "M249 Squad Automatic Weapons", but they are actually K3s standing in for the M249, which is common in productions filmed in British Columbia.
