The "remington 1875 " pistols in this movie are colt SAA's in disguise by adding a rib under the barrel hopefully with the intention of making them resemble a New Model Army Remington ,( incorrectly called 1858 ) which would be correct for the timeframe.

It's a dual trigger Tranter percussion revolver - the lower trigger cocks it and the upper one fires it. GM45 was right about the function, just not the make. Adams never made dual-trigger revolvers. Sorry for deleting all the talk but I figured since I knew what it was I'd clean it up.

It's a strange movie. The bad guys are really disgusting, but they're played for laughs. It's a grim movie, but it has humor. It's actually one of the more memorable westerns made over the past fifty years. I guess it's become a cult classic. Absolutely right.
It seems to be the same revolver used by Robert Culp in the TV series "Trackdown ".
If you look carefully , the hammer spur has been extended , to allow for easier cocking , close to "fanning " a Colt SAA .

" Fanning " a NM#3 is difficult , because the trigger has to be released in order to cock and turn the cylinder.

The revolver in "trackdown" has the same extended hammer spur .
