Beretta M9
The most common sidearm seen in used by the SG teams (although in real life, the M9 is the military designation for the Beretta, the prop weapons used in the show are most likely the civilian Beretta 92FS).

Smith & Wesson 5906
COP .357 Derringer
Used by a lowly security guard in the episode "Badguys", season 10. It was never fired in the episode.

Vektor CP1
In the episode "Company of Thieves, one of the Lucian soldiers pointed this gun at Carter a few times. It looks like a Vektor CP1 with a black slide. It was also seen in the hands of Netan and other Lucian Alliance soldiers, especially one that killed Colonel Emerson, the first commander of the Odyessy.

Unknown Revolver
In the episode "Icon", one of the characters on the alien world was seen using this revolver as his side arm. There weren't enough close up shots to see it clearer. It doesn't seem like a single action revolver.

Dressed up Taurus PT99 AKA Timecop gun
Seen in the episode "Icon", used by the main villian at the end. This prop was later seen in Stargate Atlantis as the standard sidearm of the Genii people. This was also used in the movie Timecop

Beretta M93R
Seen in used by US Secret Service agents to attempt to fend off a hologram of Anubis. Als used by the Trust agent Hoskins. It could just be the trick of the eye, but it looked like the scenes where this gun was fire was on full auto, but most likely the actors just pulling the triggers very fast in 3 round bursts, or just the special effects making it look like full auto. It was interesting to see a constant reload when the character Hoskins kept on unloading his gun and then just eject and reloaded, while walking casually away. It actually makes more sense since the guy was just emptying round after round at everything, mostly at doors so he could escape.

:If you look closely, you can see that they have the slide-mounted safety/de-cocker switch, whereas the 93R has it mounted on the frame. That means they're actually Beretta 92Fs dressed up to resemble M93Rs (with fake forward grips and flash hiders) and probably converted to auto with drop-in units; identical guns have also appeared in Harsh Realm and I, Robot (which were both done by the same armorers who worked on this show).

The Beretta Cougar is seen in the hands of Gen. Jack O'Neill (Richard Dean Anderson).

SIG-Sauer P228
From a glance this gun seen in Season 8, episode 8 in the hands of the character Alec Colson while he seriously thinks about killing himself before Sam stops him. This is a SIG-Sauer P228.

:The barrel and slide look too long to be a P228. It really looks like a P226 to me. Plus, I know I've seen P226s in at least a couple of episodes of this show, so it would make sense if it was one of those. The easiest way to tell would be if you got a screenshot showing a better view of the trigger guard. If it's pointed, it would be a P226. If it's rounded, it would be a P228.

:Screenshots showing rounded trigger guard posted.

::Correct, sir. Thank you for these. Although weirdly, the first two still seem like a P226 to me for some reason. Possibly a continuity error... -MT2008
Jericho 941
In the episode 200, Mitchell imagined himself fighting zombies. If you forgot about this episode, yes zombies. When he was doing his last stand backing towards the activating gate, he took out a two tone Jericho 941 or the "Baby Eagle as in the DVD commentary, director Martin Wood refers to Mitchell's handgun correctly

Ruger P89
A stainless steel Ruger P89 is used by one of Dr. Tanner's associates in the episode "Point of No Return" in season 4.

SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is used in the episode "Desperate Measures" by Major Carter and Harry Maybourne.

It was again used in the episode "Smoke and Mirrors" by Senator Kinsey's Secret Service Agent.

It appears numerous times later on in the series as the standard-issue sidearm for NID agents later on in the series.

Walther P99
The Walther P99 is used by rogue NID agents in "Touchstone", Colonel Simmons in "Desperate Measures", and by Jack O'Neill in "Sight Unseen".

Taurus PT92
The Taurus PT92 is used in the first 12 episodes of Stargate SG-1's first season as a stand-in for the actual, firing Beretta 92FS/M9, which was apparently unavailable to the production crew until the 13th episode of the first season, "Hathor".

Beretta 92FS Inox
The Beretta 92FS Inox appears in the episode "Absolute Power", carried by Daniel Jackson's bodyguards at his estate.

Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is the primary weapon used by all SG teams for the first few seasons. Then when the main cast and some supporting and extras switched the P90s, the MP5 was only seen a few times. Also seen in use by the Free Jaffa Nation later in the series. MP5 also makes a small comeback when we see them again in the hands of a special assault unit raiding a Trust compound.

(Refering to the pic above) We can assume this was before Michael Shanks (Guy playing Daniel Jackson) learned how to hold a pistol correctly, but it fits his character. Just concerned about McGuyver having a gun accidently pointed at him by a guy with the finger on the trigger. Seemed to be a popular theme if you really pay attention in the series

(Refering to the pic below) MP5s made a short prominent comeback as we see an entire team of young recruits armed with them, though storywise, they were really intars. Kinda showing the audience the posibility of a spin-off with these guys. We only see a couple of them in a few later episodes, older, and the girl in the back later becomes popular in a role in Battlestar Galactica, another great series filmed right next to Stargate.

Aside from a few scenes, the MP5 never becomes noticable for the rest of the series while it gets overshadowed by countless P90 closeups and bigger guns like M4s, G36s, and M60s.

FN P90 Personal Defense Weapon
This became the most common weapon after its introduction in Season 4, Episode 8 ("The First Ones"). In the episode that introduced it, O'neill suggested the weapon because of the ammo was more penetrating than the MP5. We can assume it was just a device in the script just to bring this weapon into the fold, which is rare since there aren't that many series that actually brings up a weapon for the sake of the plot, which the series has for the rest of the show. This is the weapon that is identified when anyone thinks of of the Stargate series. The series probably picked this weapon for its futuristic look, something unique from the other weapons at the time and probably because the budget allowed for the expensive ammunition that comes with a P90, even blanks would cost a lot of money. Dan Shea, series stunt coordinator (1997-2007), has stated one reason the P90 was chosen is that it ejects the empty brass straight down when firing; this allows positioning of actors in a scene without worrying where expended cartridges will be flying. In addition, the weapon is ambidextrous in design, so both right- or left-handed shooters can handle it without problem.

In a few episodes, in the later seasons, Teal'c has been seen dual wielding this SMG, probably because he was not trained in standard practices of Earth military. However, in Stargate Continuum, Colonel Cameron Mitchell was also seen dual wielding P90s. Also seen once in the hands of Bra'tac and the Free Jaffa. Introduced to the Free Jaffa in Season 5 episode "The Warrior". Any subsequent episode with the free Jaffa, we see these in their hands over staff weapons.

H&K MP7
Since then, the MP7 has not been seen in used by the SG teams and only a handful of extras are seen holding them. In the episode "200", Mitchell, in his own imagination, was seeing dual wielding MP7s with the gun's sights folded and with extended magazines fending off Zombies. The episode first showing this was probably the series trying to replace the iconic P90s. However it was well written into the script and they only used this weapon when a low profile was necessary.

Used by the head thug on a planet, it is the same prop if not a similar construction to the weapon we see Blade use in Blade 1 and maybe it is the version in Blade 2. Seen in the episode "Off the Grid". The head thug used it in a couple scenes before taking SG-1's MP-7.

Seen in used by Mitchell in the movie Continuum is an M1 Thompson noted by cheap rear sights and side mounted bolt, but Mitchell went back in time and used this gun in 1939, which makes it a major continuity error since the M1 and M1A1 weren't made until 1942 when the US entered WWII. Guess they didn't care, didn't know, or where just trying to impersonate a M1928A1, which looks similiar.

:"Thingy"? Is that a technical term?

I don't know what it's actually called, but it extends out of the pistol grip just behind the trigger, and is used the same as the second trigger on some bolt action rifles. --Zurak 47 02:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
Cobray 37mm Launcher
O'Neill uses a CM79LF as a 40mm grenade launcher in (Season 5, Episode 4) "The Fifth Man" to shoot down a death glider.

Mortar Unknown type
Seen in one episode briefly, Orpheus, SG-1 and other teams used mortars for support.

Most commonly 'misused' as a surface-to-air missile to shoot down Goa'uld Death Gliders, however, the AT-4 is an 84mm Anti Tank Weapon. It has also been used just as a weapon to make big explosions.
OKC-3S bayonet
Not a firearm, but an interesting fact that it is seen used by O'Neill on many occasions and it is USMC knife it is also a bayonet which is clierly visibly and while it could maybe be adapted for us on MP5's it also seen when O'Neill switches to the P90 and it certainly cannot fit any bayonet.

Wrong. Jack's knife is a Phrobis M9 bayonet with an OD Handle and sheath with an integrated pistol mag pouch. The OKC-3S didn't exist until 2004, the same year Jack left SG-1. The Wierd It 22:18, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

The SIG-Sauer P226 is used in the episode "Desperate Measures" by Major Carter and Harry Maybourne.

It was again used in the episode "Smoke and Mirrors" by Senator Kinsey's Secret Service Agent.

:"Thingy"? Is that a technical term?
I don't know what it's actually called, but it extends out of the pistol grip just behind the trigger, and is used the same as the second trigger on some bolt action rifles. --Zurak 47 02:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

:I believe LAWs and TOW missiles were mentioned by the "Captain Rogers" in the episode "Rules of Engagement" about the weapons available to the SG-X team, but never seen in the episodes.

FIM-92 Stinger Missile
Seen possibly only once in first season, "Children of the gods" by someone from SG-2 to take out a glider. This is the correct weapon to use for surface to air attack unlike seen using the AT-4

M203 Grenade Launcher Attachment
Seen attached to M4s and M16s. I think it was used only a handful of times. In prop wise, these were all most likely 37mm flare launchers meant to mimic the appearence of an M203, but for the sake of what was presented in story, they are 203s in the SG universe obviously.
:They ARE the Cobray CM203 flare launchers. What tips them off is the absence of a second trigger, the shape of the trigger guard, the lack of a step up in the receiver, and the cocking lever on the SIDE of the receiver. Good call.

Mortar Unknown type
Seen in one episode briefly, Orpheus, SG-1 and other teams used mortars for support.

M136 AT-4
Most commonly 'misused' as a surface-to-air missile to shoot down Goa'uld Death Gliders, however, the AT-4 is an 84mm Anti Tank Weapon.

The following guns were used in the anime series Hellsing and from it's OVA "Hellsing Ultimate"

Hellsing like many anime started as a manga or graphic novel. The story revolves on an English organization called Hellsing, most likely based on the original Van Helsing. It's mission is obvious, to hunt down vampires mainly, though on the side they do tackle demonic agents of vampires like ghouls, zombie like creatures that are essential like vampires but their wills are controlled by a head vampire.

The Anime was a bit different and somewhat tame compared to the events in the manga, as such, an "OVA", a direct to video series, was created, not complete yet, that shows the more main story of the series rather than filler.

Alucard is the main character of the series, which the series hints that he is Dracula, but now under the service of the head of the Hellsing family. He is not a vampire turned good. He's a true monster that is unleashed on other vampires.

The OVA was created several years after the original anime and with different artists and a bigger budget, resulting in a very different result compared to the TV anime.

Handguns
Hellsing Arms .454 Casull
Alucard's first gun, which is a longslide .454 Cassull Autoloader. The first custom handgun made by Hellsing, specifically designed by Walter. It's essentially a very big semiautomatic pistol, with a length of 39cm. It's chambered for the mighty .454 Casull round, which finds use primarily in hunting large game, such as deer and bears. Of course, these bullets are special, being made out of silver obtained from melted holy relics, with an exploding property as well, making for a rather devastating cartridge against the legions of the night.

The Casull is believed to be based upon the Colt 1911 or its variants like the longslide, however it bears a greater resemblance to early model Colt pistols.

In some episodes of close ups, you'll notice the hammer is never fully cocked, and is moving back as he pulls the trigger, meaning a double action mechanism, the pivot trigger is another indication of this, similar to the early colts.

The lengthy barrel and slide gives this gun incredible accuracy and the weight at the front of the gun makes the massive round significantly more controllable. Something this extreme suits Alucard perfectly.

Jackal
Alucard's second handgun, also made especially for him. Jackal was made after Alucard's first encounter with Anderson - in fact, it likely was specifically designed with him in mind, considering the 'Jesus Christ is in Heaven Now', a variation on a similar statement on Anderson's equipment, engraved on the side. Though the gun looks essentially the same as the Casull, with the same overall length of 39cm, it's radically different, being made from pure silver, weighing 16kg. The slide covers the entire top frame, and there are thus no creases or lines on the top part of the gun, making room for the engraving. Obviously, no human could possibly use this gun without being blown away by it. The breech also faces the left, instead of the right, so it's more of a sister gun to the .454, though it's magazines can hold about the same amount of bullets that the Casull is capable of. The bullets are different as well, being a bigger 13mm, with a gold casing, a reinforced core for armor penetration, a mercury explosive and each bullet being baptized.

This gun is of fantastic proportions. No 13mm round was ever produced. A .50 alone would equal 12.7mm, meaning each bullet must be manufactured by Hellsing alone.

It's curious as to how this weapon can weigh 16kg when a full size 7.62X51mm machine gun only weighs 11kg, the weight is probably necessary to control the 13mm rounds, though with a gun this heavy you could probably fire a .50cal BMG round and still have the same desired effect.
Yan Valentine's gun - Customized FN P90s
The P90's appearance is unconventional, with an odd downward ejection port, but it's one of the more prized military SMGs, having formidable penetration power with the FN 5.7mm bullet, an rate of fire of 900 RPM, and even boasts a horizontal magazine that lies on top of the gun, which carries 50 bullets. Jan's version is considerably customized, first having part of the stock and handle removed, with a more conventional pistol grip placed instead, which allows for duel wielding, the original p90 was more geared toward two handed firing from the shoulder. A silencer has been added, along with an underbarrel laser dot sight. Of course, his eye sigil also adorns the side of the weapon. In the series, one had a long scope attached to it and the other a red dot sight.
Though I have never seen this series this weapon appears to be based on the WW I Mauser 1918 Anti-Tank Rifle. The exceptions are, of course, the fact that the original weapon was bolt action and single shot only and was 13.2mm calibre. This one appears to be semi-auto, drum fed and 13.7mm calibre. Luke's gun is an M1 Garand with cut down barrel and stock to give it a pistol grip, Luke carries two of these hidden in his jacket and uses them to but a pair of bullet in Alucard's head, for all the good that does.
In the OVA, Luke's cut down M1s only had the barrel cut down, but not the stocks.
Hallconnon cannon
Seras Victoria gets this big cannon later in the series. This is the weapon that Walter gives Seras in episode 5, "Brotherhood" and the OVA shows the same scene as well, in the 2nd episode. Depsite the spelling of the name, Hallconnon, it is because the name is derived from the Japanese pronunciation of the primary antagonists of the novel Dune, House Harkonnen. The cannon is almost hilariously oversized, but Seras soon handles it like a normal rifle because of her strength as a vampire. Walter says that it uses depleted uranium shells, and high explosive rounds.

According to the anime, it's combat effective against all ground and aerial weapons except main battle tanks

It is effectively an artillery piece scaled down to so a person can hold it like a rifle, which Seras does from time to time. To reload, the ammo is breach loaded.
Near the end of the wall of guns several muzzle loading muskets, one with a bayonet attached, can be seen.

The following guns were used in the anime series Hellsing and from it's OVA "Hellsing Ultimate"

Hellsing like many anime started as a manga or graphic novel. The story revolves on an English orginization called Hellsing, most likely based on the original Van Helsing.

Handguns
The Hellsing Arms .454 Casull
Alucard's first gun, which is a longslide .454 Cassull Autoloader. The Joshua is the first custom handgun made by Hellsing, specifically designed by Walter. It's essentially a very big gun handgun, with a length of 39cm. It's chambered for the mighty .454 Casull round, which finds use primarily in hunting large game, such as deer and bears. Of course, these bullets are special, being made out of silver obtained from melted holy relics, with an exploding property as well, making for a rather devestating cartridge against the legions of the night.

The Casull is believed to be based upon the Colt 1911 or its varients like the longslide, however I have noticed that it bears a greater resemblance to early model Colt Pistols.

In some episodes of close ups, you'll notice the hammer is never fully cocked, and is moving back as he pulls the trigger, meaning a double action mechanism, the pivot trigger is another indication of this, similiar to the early colts.

The lengthy barrel and slide gives this gun incredible accuracy and the weight at the front of the gun makes the massive round significantly more controllable. Something this extreme suits Alucard perfectly.

Jackal
Alucard's second handgun made especially for him. Jackal was made after Alucard's first encounter with Anderson - in fact, it likely was specifically designed with him in mind, considering the 'Jesus Christ is in Heaven, Now!' engraved on the side. Though the gun looks essentially the same as the Casull, with the same overall length of 39cm, it's radically different, being made from pure silver, weighing 16kg.

It's curious as to how this weapon can weigh 16kg when a full size 7.62X51mm machine gun only weighs 11kg, the weight is probably necessary to control the 13mm rounds, though with a gun this heavy you could probaly fire a .50cal BMG round and still have the same desired effect.
Walter saids that it uses depleted uranium shells, and high explosive rounds.

According to the anime, it's combat effective against all ground and aerial weapons except main battle tanks

It is effecively an artillary piece scaled down to so a person can hold it like a rifle, which Seras does from time to time. To reload, the ammo is breach loaded.
Wall of Guns
Seen in the first episode of the OVA. From what I can see, there's a Sig P220 series, an AK-74, an M16 with the three-pronged compensator [drawn upside down], a 1911, an M16 with the birdcage compensator, a Colt Python, or some other revolver with barrel ribbing, and a Franchi LM57 so far. Near the end of the wall of guns several muzzle loading muskets, one with a bayonet attached, can be seen.

And all these were apparently pointed at Alucard, but still not enough firepower to take down one of the most powerful vampires in existence.

Nukle0n: The "Joshua" was an error on early fan translations of the manga, and was picked up by North American licensor ADV for increased familiarity, further expanding on the false canonicity on the name.

The following guns were used in the anime series Hellsing and from it's OVA "Hellsing Ultimate"

Hellsing like many anime started as a manga or graphic novel. The story revolves on an English orginization called Hellsing, most likely based on the original Van Helsing. It's mission is obvious, to hunt down vampires mainly, though on the side they do tackle demonic agents of vampires like ghouls, zombie like creatures that are essential like vampires but their wills are controlled by a head vampire.

The Anime was a bit different and somewhat tame compared to the events in the manga, as such, an "OVA" was created, not complete yet, that shows the more main story of the series rather than filler.

Alucard is the main character of the series, which the series hints that he is Dracula, but now under the service of the head of the Hellsing family. He is not a vampire turned good. He's a true monster that is unleashed on other vampires.

The OVA was created several years after the original anime and under different artists and a bigger budget, so the art is a lot different when compared to the anime. It's like comparing a TV series and the movie based on the TV series.

The magazines holds about six rounds.

Jackal
Alucard's second handgun made espeically for him. Jackal was made after Alucard's first encounter with Anderson - in fact, it likely was specifically designed with him in mind, considering the 'Jesus Christ is in Heaven, Now!' engraved on the side. Though the gun looks essentially the same, with the same overall length of 39cm, it's radically different, being made from pure silver, weighing 16kg. Obviously, no human could possibly use this gun without being blown away by it. The breech also faces the left, instead of the right, so it's more of a sister gun to the Joshua, though it's magazines can hold the same amount of bullets that Joshua's are capable of. The bullets are different as well, being a slightly bigger 13mm, with a gold casing, a reinforced core for armor penetration, and each bullet being baptized and also explosive mercury.

This gun is beyond belief. No 13mm round was ever produced. A .50 alone would equal 12.7mm, meaning each bullet must be manufactured by Hellsing alone.

It's curious as to how this weapon can weigh 16kg when a full size 7.62X51mm machine gun only weighs 11kg, the weight is probably necessary to control that 13mm round, though with a gun this heavy you could probaly fire a .50cal BMG round and still have the same desired effect.
=== Hallconnon cannon ===

Seras Victoria gets this big cannon later in the series. This is the weapon that Walter gives Seras in episode 5, "Brotherhood" and the OVA shows the same scene as well.

In the Anime, the weapon does not fire normal explosive grenades (though a wide range of ammo can be used, Incognito loads this with special shell contain multiple dart like objects (which must have some magical property beacause Alucard describes it as "magic from the dark continent").
