Let me explain...
It's not 39 because I think only double-stack models have those "bulges", but correct me if i'm wrong.
59? - No. Look closely at the sights and the grip panels! They look too modern (maybe 3rd generation?).

It would also explain the fact that "model 39 isn't issued anymore".

==Remington PSS700==
Thanks for posting my Pic of my PSS700 in .300 Win Mag. :) Love that gun. :) That's the gun most likely used by Police SWAT teams (after the .308 version of course). I think the guns in the show have LEUPOLD quick release mounts and I can rephotograph the rifle with those types of scope mounts as well. But I don't think those are 30.06 rounds on the stock. The brass looks too fat. They look just like .300 Winchester Magnum rounds, which would be correct if the PSS700 rifles are .300 Win Mag. Is there any dialogue on the show that indicates that they are .308 guns on the show? If not then they could be .300 win mag rifles.

Kinda annoying they use such worn down guns. Their Mp5's have the old slimline foregrip too.

How is it annoying? I find it unrealistic when there is nothing but shiny new guns, most police departments (Or Services as they all seem to be called up here), don't have budgets big enough to buy new MP5's simply because the finish is worn. I think it is very realistic that the guns look worn. When I see the police in the airport here in Zürich then there submachine gun look worse. And my own SIG 550 wasnt mint any more at the end of my military service.

In the episode "Day Game" Sam and Raf had revolvers that shot rubber bullets that looked, although I only saw it for a moment, like a taurus judge. Is this probable to be used in real life or only for the show? This is used to non lethally disarm gill.

In the Episode "Day Game" when team one found out that gill was an ex police officer, jules said "that explains the piece". How would that explain why he had a desert eagle? I would beleive if he had a Glock or a SIG. Was this just T.V nonsense?

If someone is going to go through the whole series and do each season properly in turn with new screenshots then it can be split up. With tv series people don't necessarily list repeat occurances of a gun, or later series may not be as thoroughly documented as others meaning that if it is just split based on what is on the page you could end of with a lot of holes. In my opinion, one cluttered page is better than five incomplete pages that lack screencaps. An example of this is when ''[[The X Files]]'' was split, where now we have a number of pages that are incomplete, or missing altogether. I've looked everywhere on the net and no one seems to have noticed that the scene which uses the 686 is inaccurate in regards to the mechanics of that weapon. The camera shows the gun lining up on an empty chamber and firing. Am I missing something here?

Doesn't look like a Jetfire. The trigger guard is different, and the one in the movie doesn't appear to have a hammer or the hinge on the front of the slide. Plus, it looks like it has a grip safety. It doesn't have the Jetfire's horned backstrap, either. Try comparing it to a Beretta Model 1919 [http://www.littlegun.be/arme%20italienne/beretta/a%20beretta%201919%20gb.htm]. I believe you'll find it to be a much closer match.

I find it curious that in a movie about a heavily British nationalist government, there isn't a single British manufactured weapon in the entire film. We've got Italian, German, and Austrian weapons in the hands of most agents and the occasional American gun. Maybe this is just a detail too expensive to implement.

What would you have them use? The only real British 'assault' weapons any more are the Enfield SA-80, even then its been over-hauled by Heckler and Koch, and the L7 GPMG, which is essentially a FN Mag. Shame there are no Sniper Rifles as Accuracy-International make some good weapons. The only other things I can think that we still make are a selection of hunting rifles and shotguns. [[theocd]]

It has been confirmed by the producer that the Howling commandos do feature, and confirmed that Gabe Jones (I believe played by Derek Luke if the rumours are correct) will make an appearance in the film. I would guess that the guy next to Cap with the Thompson is Dino Manelli, and strongly suspect that the guy in the beret with the Sten is Percival "Pinky" Pinkerton. ==Weapon Overview==
I don't have enough time to edit the page, but while the guns are fresh in my mind I'll list what I saw that's not on the page already:
*Hugo Weaving used a Luger P08, and after revealing he's redskull, uses a Luger that has been modified to look like an energy weapon.
*The assassin Kruger used a Walther P38, which in typically movie fashion, clicks empty instead of locking back.
*A Johnson M1941 is used by Sebastin Stan, who plays Cap's friend Buck, to snipe an enemy. He racks the bolt back after he shoots, despite it being a semi-automatic weapon.
*MP40s are used by several of the Nazis before all those fictional Hydra soldier weapons take over.
*M1 Carbines are seen slung on the backs of US soldiers, and an M1A1 Carbine is seen being used by one during the raid of the Hydra base at the end.

Just got back from seeing it myself, I'm pretty sure I saw Jim Morita (Kenneth Choi) carrying an M3 Grease Gun at one point. From what I've heard, it's used when point shooting (ie; not actually aiming down the sights), as it allows you to extend your index finger along the frame of the gun and 'point' at where you want to shoot. If you move your hand up a finger and shooting one handed, you would have a poor grip on the gun, you'd have no trigger control because your middle finger would naturally wrap around the gun while the index finger does nothing but "point". Since your middle finger is the longest finger, if you aren't used to it, or in the case of a small trigger guard, getting your middle finger in there is easy, but getting it out would be a chore. The most profficient and effective stance that a shooter can have will always be the weaver stance. Not thug, and not one handed.

I think this was taught as a method for point shooting in the 1800s/early 1900s (Jack Ruby shot Oswald using this grip). The US Army manual for the 1911 explicitly points out that it shouldn't be done, but only due to the fact that the index finger running along the side of the frame can depress the protruding slide stop pin. The main reason this supposedly works is the pointing thing, but it also has something to do with the fact that as the middle finger is longer you can place the trigger further up the middle finger which makes for an easier trigger pull. On the S&W M29 - according to the book James Bond's London, Bapty supplied a Smith and Wesson Model 66 Combat Magnum for the voodoo sacrifice sequence. And to me, Bond's revolver in the film doesn't appear to have the mass of an M29.

I don't think it is a Type 88. The only Type 88s around are in North Korea, which I don't think they would be handing out to a film that made it look bad. There are 5.45mm steel magazines for the AK around, like this: http://home.comcast.net/~shooter2_indy/ak74_mag_guide.html So I think it's just a mocked up AK74 to look like a North Korean Type 88. :You're correct. That is quite obviously a Chinese Type 56-1 rifle (not an AK-74; the magazine is too curved for 5.45x39mm) mocked up to look like a DPRK Type 88 rifle. Some anonymous user changed it without our permission, because he apparently didn't stop to consider what you said. But you're right; there's no way that that's a genuine Type 88 rifle. North Korea, unlike the Chinese, has never exported its weapons for Western consumers, so there's no way that the movie's armorers could have access to a Type 88. -[[User:MT2008|MT2008]]
