In the 1993 film In The Line of Fire, Booth (John Malkovich) is seen constructing this two shot, reloadable clandestine pistol. The weapon is used to great effect several times throughout the film. The weapon appears to use .38 Short Colt ammunition, or possibly a variation of .38 S&W with unbelted cartridge cases. While a version of this "Composite Pistol" was also seen used by Russell Crowe in the movie No Way Back (1995), the original blank-firing prop was deactivated by cutting it into three pieces after the filming of In The Line of Fire.

Other prop weapons closely based off the general design and aesthetic of this weapon (but not this exact same weapon) have occasionally been seen in other productions as well. For the sake of convenience, those appearances will be listed here as well.

Why did it have to be destroyed after the film was made? - User: 2wingo

Because, by the way the gun was made, it was practically untrack-/unidentifyable.
So the damage of it reaching "wrong hands" would've been huge.

Also, on the other side, if someone would've used it and it'd have blown up due to wear and tear, the prop-company could've been sued for a lot of money.--Maxmali (talk) 11:40, 15 March 2015 (EDT)

In "Malice In Wonderland" (S12E18), Emily Hartley (Cameron Richardson) used an unknown Pistol to hold Trace Lab Tech David Hodges (Wallace Langham) and his mother Olivia Hodges (Jaclyn Smith) at gunpoint while she and her husband Kyle (Pedro Pascal) were driving to the desert until Hodges got loose from his restraints and drugged her and took the gun and held Kyle at gunpoint. Later when Hodges and his mother were freed he gave the gun to a SWAT team member.

It looks to me like a SIG-Sauer P22X, one of the full-size versions, although I don't know which one, as the differences are very small.--Maxmali (talk) 21:38, 13 March 2015 (EDT)

The Bourne Supremacy is the 2004 sequel to 2002's The Bourne Identity. Matt Damon returns as the covert operative known as Jason Bourne, who comes out of hiding to expose who is responsible for a series of assassinations that were done in his name. The sequel was directed by Paul Greengrass, who also returned for the 2007 sequel The Bourne Ultimatum. The film's plot bears little resemblance to the Robert Ludlum novel of the same name.
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) has a Beretta 92SB at the beginning of the movie when he and Marie (Franka Potente) are escaping from Kirill in Goa, India. He is shown pulling one out of the glovebox of their SUV. Presumably, it is lost during the crash.
After Marie is killed in India, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) packs his Beretta 92FS up with his belongings when clearing out of their former home. Jarda (Marton Csokas), another ex-Treadstone agent, also carries a Beretta.
Glock 17
Some of the German policemen at the Hotel Brecker carry Glock 17s.
Note that this is an error, as the German SEK (German SWAT) carries Walther-Pistols in real life.

SIG-Sauer P225
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) uses a SIG-Sauer P225 throughout the movie after arriving in Naples, stolen from U.S. Consulate agent John Nevins (Tim Griffin). It is most notably seen when he confronts Treadstone asset Jarda in his home, and when Bourne uses it to shoot through the door of his stolen taxi at Kirill's stolen Mercedes in Moscow and some how shoots 12 rounds instead of the P225's 8. Bourne also used a P225 in his flashback to the Neski double-murder (his first assignment).

Walther P99
The FSB assassin Kirill (Karl Urban) uses a 1st generation Walther P99 with a QPQ finished slide during his pursuit of Jason Bourne. It is most notably seen in his hands when he wounds Bourne from an overhead bridge while in Moscow, and later during the film's final car chase when fired from Kirill's Mercedes towards Bourne's taxi. There is also a publicity photo of Bourne (Matt Damon) firing a standard black first-gen P99, though no scene in the movie depicts this. He does, however, use one to threaten Ward Abbott in his hotel room.
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) gives CIA deputy director Ward Abbott (Brian Cox) a Walther PP to kill himself with.

Glock 19
One of the CIA team responding to Jarda's home alarm carries what appears to be a compact Glock 9mm. The scene is very brief and quick so the screenshots are rather blurry but upon closer look the slide definately puts it in the Glock family not the XD.
Unknown shotgun
One of the German SEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando) officers that are sent to arrest Bourne is armed with a pistol gripped fitted with a door breaching muzzle brake and red dot sight.
In real life the German Police uses Benelli shotguns, although without any of the attachments, so this is another error regarding the firearms.

Rifles
Heckler & Koch SL8-4
Several of the German SEK (Spezialeinsatzkommando) team officers who attempt to arrest Bourne at the hotel are armed with what supperficially appear to be Heckler & Koch G36 rifles. However, a close inspection of the rifles reveals that they are actually the civilian Heckler & Koch SL8-4 version of the rifle fitted with a 30 round magazine and a G36E sight/carry handle.
Neither rifle is used by the real life SEK (german SWAT), whose officers are restricted to different versions of the MP5.
Kirill (Karl Urban) uses a Sauer Model 202 Takedown Rifle in the beginning of the movie to shoot and kill Marie.

Keppeler & Fritz KS II Mockup Prop
Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) uses a bolt-action, bullpup sniper rifle when talking to Pam Landy (Joan Allen) at the CIA headquarters in Berlin. The scope is a Zeiss Victory Diavari, but the rifle itself appears to be custom-built prop specially for the movie by a gunsmith to resemble the Keppler & Fritz KS II in general appearance. The poster image of Bourne with a scoped sniper rifle appears to show him holding this weapon, however this rifle is actually an unmodified Blaser R93 Sniper Rifle.

NOTE: A number of anonymous users have edited this page to indicate that the rifle is a Walther WA 2000. The rifle in question is not a WA2000; it is a bolt-action design (whereas the WA2000 is a semi-automatic), and the receiver is clearly the wrong shape. It is also not a Keppeler & Fritz KS II Precision as previously suggested (see discussion topic).

How on earth can this be described as an "updated version" of the HK69? They're two totally different designs. You wouldn't describe the M32 as an "updated version" of the M79, would you? The M16 as an "updated version" of the M14? How about the M1 Abrams as an "updated version" of the M60 Patton? Or IMFDb as an "updated version" of Wikipedia? ::From H&K webpage of the HK169: "The HK169 was developed by Heckler & Koch as a state of the art successor of the well-known HK69 to meet all the requirements for modern warfare or law enforcement applications." Also, I put it here because it is basically a GLM with a folding stock instead of the collapsing one. It is closer to the GLM than the HK69. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 07:13, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
::::No, I think it should stay on this page since it is just a GLM in a dedicated standalone configuration. I only found it odd that it was referred to as an "updated" HK69 because the two systems have no mechanical relation whatsoever. Spartan198 (talk) 11:41, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
:::::The HK169 should definitely not be on the HK69, it is a successor in name only. Aside from a similar name and the round it fires, it bears absolutely not relation whatsoever to the original HK69, it is simply a variant of the AG-C fitted into a stock, so I think it should go on that page. On the topic, does anybody else think these two pages should be merged? They are essentially the same weapon and in other situations like this we would normally put them on the same page separated by sections. --commando552 (talk) 05:53, 11 May 2014 (EDT)
::::::I was just looking into it, and it appears that there is now the M320 A1 which is being used by the US Army which has the grip attached to a rail, making it exactly the same as the current model of the H&K GLM, so there is in fact no difference between the two. Also, just to throw something else in the mix, I don't think the picture of the M320 fitted to the HK416 is actually a true M320, but rather the AG416 which is a proprietary variant for the HK416 which attaches via a cross pin at the front of the handguard.
:::::::Correction, turns out that M320A1 is simply the designation for the launcher fitted with M4 mounting brackets, as opposed to the M320 which has the M16 mounting brackets. In that case, it appears that there is no different designation for the launchers that have the vertical grip fixed to the barrel and the ones with the rail. --commando552 (talk) 12:16, 15 May 2014 (EDT)
:::::::::I think we should merge the AG36, AG-C/EGLM and M320 pages (also adding in the HK169 here), but keep the HK69A1 with HK79 one separate as it is a totally different system. The only problem is, I then don't know what to call it as something like "Heckler & Koch Grenade Launchers" sounds like it should include the HK69. I think we should probably call it the "Heckler & Koch GLM series" or something like that, as the GLM is sort of the core weapon that all of the others are variants of. If you want to be technical I believe that the first one that was actually made was the AG36, but from a naming and categorisation standpoint I think GLM works better. I must admit though, I am pretty confused as to what the different variants of this actually are and in what way they differ as there is a lot of incorrect and contradictory information out there, particularly in terms of how they mount, even on the HK USA site. Does anyone know, is there a model of this that actually just mounts directly to the 6 o'clock rail on a guns forearm, and not to any other part? The M320 mounts via brackets which replace the bottom half of the handguard much like on the M203, and the AG416 mounts to a rail but must be secured by a cross pin through a hole built into the HK416/417. Some places talk about the AG-C/EGLM as though it mounts directly to a rail (I think this may just by the old/alternate name for what they call the GLM now) but I can find no specifics on how exactly it does so. I think most of the variants can actually just change into others by swapping out the mounting hardware anyway. The problem is that most airsoft replicas seem to get it wrong, with the launcher just locking via the lever that adjusts the stock, but on a real launcher I doubt that this would be up to the job of managing the recoil (hence the pin at the front of the AG416 and why the recoil of the M320 is taken directly by the barrel nut). --commando552 (talk) 14:14, 15 May 2014 (EDT)
:::::::::::The problem with that is that today that doesn't really make sense in terms of coming up with a proper name for the series. Also, I think the origin of the AG36 is that it was designed as the companion the the XM8 which would actually mean by that rationale that we should call it the "XM320 series". --commando552 (talk) 20:40, 16 May 2014 (EDT)
::::::::::::The XM320 was developed from the AG36, not the other way around. Spartan198 (talk) 10:27, 17 May 2014 (EDT)
:::::::::::::Do you have a source or something with dates, as I have always heard that the original grenade launcher was the XM320 developed for the XM8 program. If you look at photos of the XM320 on the XM8 you will see that there are some differences such as a slightly different pistol grip and trigger guard shape which are not there on the AG36 or the M320. To me it would make more sense that the XM320 was an original version that was developed on, as opposed to having the original AG36 design, changing it for some reason, and then changing it back when it was developed into the M320. --commando552 (talk) 12:28, 17 May 2014 (EDT)

::::OK, I think I have found proof that this weapon is indeed a Smith & Wesson M&P-15. Here is a link to the web site of Weapons Specialists, who, as we have discussed, are now supplying the weapons for the show: http://thespecialistsltd.com/m4-moe-furniture

::::The site refers to this weapon as an "M4 - MOE furniture", but you can see that the magazine well has the S&W M&P logo. It's safe to assume that the weapon pictured on the site is the exact AR which you actually are seeing on the show. So I think it's mystery solved - the weapon is indeed an M&P-15. -MT2008 12:07, 24 August 2012 (CDT)
This is clearly not an M4A1, as it only has a two-position fire selector, Safe and Fire. Judging by the barrel length on some of the rifles listed under M4A1, I think that they might actually be Colt LE Carbines. --SmithandWesson36 19:51, 29 July 2012 (CDT)

:It has a 14.5" barrel so I think it should be classified as an M4. It is hard to tell from some of the camera angles, but I think all of the weapons have 14.5" barrels other than the first two pictures (and possibly the one for "Split Decision") which have 16" barrels making them LE6920 Colt Law Enforcement Carbines. In terms of film/TV weapos you really cannot judge them by the lower receiver, as the majority of weapons will be civilian semi auto weapons that have either had the lower replaced with a different full auto one or have had the sear swapped out to convert them to auto. In this case as the lower only has the semi markings, that would probably make it (assuming it is a colt gun) an LE6921, also called the M4LE Carbine. As it is impossible to tell these LE M4s from military M4s without seeing the selector markings (and most of the time they will be depicted as full auto guns), I think these should be listed as M4s. --commando552 07:26, 30 July 2012 (CDT)

::Here, you can see the double-stack bulges on the frame if you look carefully, IDing it as a 226. I guess I would have figured that the armorer would have used the same gun both seasons, but maybe the 226 wasn't available when they started filming this season. Also, ISS has had rail-frame P220STs in inventory for a while now (they first started showing up on TV as far back as Season 2 of NCIS). -MT2008 11:08, 12 August 2012 (CDT)
:::Yep, the one in this picture is definitely a 226. But that was in Season 5. I'm thinking that maybe the show switched armorers this season (or the same armorer changed his inventory), because there are some subtle differences in the guns this season. Such as Mike's P30 now has a shaved hammer and the P226 became a P220, and I bet there are some others we haven't found yet. I'm pretty sure the Magpul furniture on the M4's is new, as well as the P556 hybrid thing. As the season continues, there might be some other new stuff.----JazzBlackBelt-- 21:05, 12 August 2012 (CDT)

::::OK, I did some research, and it turns out you're correct. For the past five seasons, the show got its weapons from Independent Studio Services (ISS) in California, and a guy named Andrew Wert was the main armorer. As of Season 6, the show's guns are rented from Weapons Specialists, Ltd. (now just The Specialists) in New York, and Ryan Washburn is the new weapons masters. I'm guessing that this explains the changes in weapons that you have pointed out. -MT2008 21:19, 12 August 2012 (CDT)
:::::Alright, that's interesting. I browsed through their website and found a stainless P220 (no stainless P226), a MOE M4, and a "two tone" SG 552 (the P556 hybrid), so this is definitely the armorer. : Could be either, though I'm leaning to the Armscor personally. I do agree it's NOT a Mossberg - It lacks the Mossberg safety, and the trigger-guard and receiver aren't quite right (the Maverick Model 88, which has a trigger-guard button safety, still uses the the same receiver style, so not that either). :: I would say that it rather looks like the Armscor, as the iron behind the ejector port appeares in two shades, as if it is angled. == P90 TR and PS90 ==

Do FN actually offer a TR version? As I understood it, the TR version is a figment of airsoft gunmaker Toyko Marui's imagination which was created to allow them to resume production after the mould for their standard P90 sight block broke. I have seen real P90s with triple rail sight blocks in photos, but described as aftermarket parts. Airsoft P90s are so close to the real thing, and P90s are so rarely seen actually firing on film, that I feel it is likely that all or nearly all P90TRs on film are actually airsoft guns.

With the PS90, I thought that was semi-auto only in factory form, sold as the civilian-legal version of the P90, hence the long barrel, much as an HK94 is to an MP5. I'm not certain about either of these things, so I thought it best to ask the pros before changing the page.

How powerful is the 5.7x28mm round anyway? Can it penetrate through your standard bulletproof vest? Or can it also penetrate the more heavier bulletproof vests? --ThatoneguyJosh 17:55, 17 March 2011 (CDT)
:The P90 can penetrate through light bulletproof vests (mostly Level II) like those wrapped in Kevlar with ease, but it cannot actually penetrate through the more heavier bulletproof vests. The 5.7x28mm rounds are similar to the 4.6x30mm rounds fired by the MP7. In fact, both the MP7 and the P90 are technically and generally similar in terms of accuracy, compactness, stopping power, and weight (though the P90 is more bulkier than the MP7). The 5.7x28mm rounds are overall powerful, light, and a similar size to the 9mm rounds fired by most submachine guns. - Kenny99 22:09, 16 September 2011 (CDT)
::It can actually penetrate a IIIA vest, or the CRISAT target (1.6mm titanium plate with 20 layers of Kevlar) at 200m.

The PS90 is according to FN a Semi-Automatic only weapon. As for the P90TR that is offered by FNUSA as a Standard Production Model.Rockwolf66 16:58, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
::Still don't understand why they ship with 30 round mags instead of 50. All that happens is the new owner of this gun gets it with the 30 rounder, then buys 50s after that.--FIVETWOSEVEN 00:34, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
Question
Basically, it will penetrate any soft armour and most helmets at this range, but will be stopped by the hard plates used in most military vests. The MP7 has similar penetration. Of course, this only applies to military ammunition, not the civilian stuff. --commando552 03:33, 17 September 2011 (CDT)
Firstly, what is the deal with the Tactical model? It is the railed top model listed on the FN Herstal website, but the FNH USA page only lists the TR version. Is the Tactical a Europe only version, or is it just that the US website is "behind the times"?

:::Not that it necessarily pertains to this conversation, but the P90 in the P90 TR section with the aimpoint and sound suppressor looks like it could be a Tactical instead of a TR, as the scope is sitting higher and the flashlight seems further back than it should be on the TR. Dover500 06:22, 17 September 2011 (CDT)
::::Yeah that one is a tactical too, easier way to tell is the fact that the top rail is longer than the upper receiver. Also, you can see that it still has the back up iron sights on the side. Thinking about it, the tactical version has the standard back up iron sights on either side of the upper receiver, but it also has another set of back up iron sights inside the flat top rail (not sure if they are flip up or recessed inside) which means it has three separate sets of iron sights. --commando552 09:21, 17 September 2011 (CDT)
So,what is the P90? I mean, it looks like a perfect weapon to me. It's small, it's light, fitted with 50 nice 5.7x28mm rounds. And what about gun's reliability and stuff? I really love the gun,and.. is it really THAT perfect? Littlesoldier1 18:21, 29 February 2012 (CST)

: It is a well engineered and built PDW-gun, and has a couple of opportunities compared to other guns, such as the (not-civillian) 50 rounds in the magazine, the overall smooth form, with nothing really sticking out, the fact that it packs a compact size while not loosing accuracy (thanks to the bullpup-layout), and the shells being ejected downwards, making it a perfect gun for left & right handed shooting or shooting in narrow spaces.
The downsides are the almost unique calibre, the fact that many people dislike polymer-guns.
And guns that look/function unusual always have a hard stand, just look at how the M16 was treated when it was introduced to soldiers.--Maxmali (talk) 07:01, 1 August 2014 (EDT)

This is a prime candidate for DELETION. There are many other less lethal devices used by police and civilians. Stunguns, Pepper spray, beanbag rounds, rubber. Though the original Taser is classified by the ATF as a firearm, only because some of the models use chemical charges to fire the darts (some others don't) it's a pure technicality. ::That page can easily be removed if you so desire, however, one of the criteria is whether or not the general public will confuse it with a firearm (or the generally accepted definition of a firearm).
I suppose if you want to get pedantic, firearms are ranged weapons that rely on chemical explosives (where the "fire" in "firearm" comes from) to propel a projectile at something or someone to cause harm to it by breaking the target apart, and receives all of its propulsive energy at the start (unlike missiles or rockets which gradually accelerate). By this definition, a speargun is not a firearm (since it relies on tension rather than expanding gases to launch the projectile) and rail- or coil-guns don't count either, since they electromagnetically accelerate a projectile rather than using a chemical explosive (maybe the technical term should be "EMAC gun" and not rifle since they don't require any rifling in a barrel?).

I myself don't mind which way this wiki swings, since here we also list things that are not strictly man-portable firearms either (like the entries for rocket launchers, mines and vehicle-mounted weapons such as the Bushmaster chaingun). I would like this wiki to be on the inclusive side, so as long as it's within reason. One example is how I plan to include the "Less-Lethal Shotgun" on the S.W.A.T. 4 page since it's converted from a Benelli Nova shotgun and still uses chemical explosives to propel its beanbags, but won't include the Pepper Spray in the game since it's not a ranged weapon nor was it made from a conventional firearm. The Pepper-ball gun I've decided to include anyway for completeness' sake, despite using compressed air instead of chemical explosives.

Either way, whichever the decision the powers-that-be here on this wiki make, it should be clear and posted somewhere easily accessed and seen so that the policy of this wiki will be clear and easily enforced for all contributors. --Mazryonh 05:44, 31 January 2010 (UTC)
::Thanks. Will do. The problem is that SOME NEW MEMBERS always find a way to 'stretch' the definition of what should be on the site. This IS the Movie FIREARMS database, and yes, I've had FIGHTS with other members as to the 'mission creep' of ever expanding lists of stuff that appears on the site. One of these days we'll have a page for 'Sharp Stick' and there will be someone arguing as to why it should be here. I have no idea if this is finished or not but I think that if you delete this on the basis that it is not strictly a firearm, well, there will be so much other things that should be removed from the site, just like mines & such.
