Ok, I made a youtube video last year and it was a montage of all the weapons in Call of Duty: World at War (It had real-world pictures, and the only ingame pictures were "fictional" guns, or weapons that I couldn't find a real-world look-a-like of. Anyways, I got a comment 5 months ago. The comment was "Is it a M1C or D Garand? And the Kabar (Not Ka-Bar)wasn't exactly used in this game. I did correct the commentor on his knife mistake, but I am still confused by his first question. Is there three different models of an M1 Garand, or only two? And I thought the M1C and M1D were sniper variants? - [[User:1morey]] August 7, 2011 5:42 PM (EST)

So I heard that in the 60's Argentina received about 30,000 M1s from the U.S and were converted to accept magazines that were for the [[Beretta BM59]] while Brazil got them in the 50s from the U.S. government and were converted to 7.62x51mm NATO and modified to accept mags from the [[FN FAL]]. Is any of this true? -[[User:Mr.Ice|Mr.Ice]]

Doesn't sound so legit to me. Argentina's armed force had enough budget to even develop a jet during its 50s. There's no reason for them to receive surplus weapon from the United State. And also, modifying seem to take much time and money to modify M1 Garand since barrel probably should be changed to receive NATO 7.62mm. And other thing is that Angentine force was seen using FN FAL during the Falklands war. -[[User:Mamaya94|Mamaya94]]

'''Notes''':
* The capacities should line up with their respective calibers
* ONLY include guns that are already on the site. '''DO NOT''' simply list every gun ever made by a company.
* The same goes for Variants. '''ONLY''' list variants that are on the site and the variants should link to their respective page.
* If you don't know the production dates, put ????-????.
* Keep all column widths the same for whole page. If you want to increase the size of the weapon column, do so for the entire page, not just one section.
** The one exception to this rule is with the images. For long guns it is okay to increase the images form 200px to 300px as these images tend to be longer then they are tall (rectangular while pistol/revolver images are more square). See [[Remington Arms]] for an example.
* Obviously if a particular company doesn't manufacture any shotguns, or any Launchers, that sections need not be included.
* Once you have finished the page, add a "See Also" at the bottom of each page that links to the company. '''<nowiki>* [[COMPANY NAME]] - A list of all firearms manufactured by COMPANY NAME</nowiki>'''

==Specifications==
*'''Type:''' Assault Rifle
*'''Caliber:''' 5.56x45mm
*'''Capacity:''' 30 round box magazine
*'''Fire Modes:''' Safe/Semi/Full Auto (750 RPM)

The Daewoo assault rifles are the standard issue rifles for the South Korean Military and Police forces. The K1/K1A short carbines were developed first, the full sized K2 assault rifle was developed later. The K1A was the upgraded version of the K1 carbine (developed as a submachine gun to replace the M3 Grease gun for the South Korean Military). The K1A is considered a submachine gun, despite the fact that it fires an intermediate cartridge (5.56mm Nato/.223) like the full sized assault rifle.

* K1/K1A Carbine - telescoping wire stock, short barrel, 1 in 12 rifle twist - 5.56mm
* K2 Rifle - Folding full sized stock, 16" barrel, 1 in 7.3 rifle twist - 5.56mm

While some people regard the K1 as just a shorter version of the K2, they are somewhat different internally. The K1 (which came first) uses a gas impingement system like the AR15/M16 rifles. The K2 full sized rifle has a gas piston system, just like the AK47 rifles.

Unlike most people's misconception, the K1/K1A is NOT a carbine version of K2. First, the K1/K1A was made before the K2. And also, most parts (Including the firing pin) are not interchangeable except the bottom stock. And most of all, Daewoo S&T has recently released K2 Carbine version along with K3 Para version and K-12, 7.62X51mm machine gun to replace the M60.
Luca Brasi ([[Lenny Montana]]) checks a [[Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28|Smith & Wesson Model 27 Snub Nose]] before going to his meeting with Sollozzo and the Tattaglias. The frame appears to be that of the larger S&W N Frame. Also since this point in the story takes place in December 1945 it would more than likely be a pre-war S&W Registered Magnum. Or possibly a S&W .357 Magnum since a few were made between the ending of the Registered Magnum model and the start of WWII. During WWII, S&W only produced the M&P/Victory model. S&W did not number its models until the middle of the 1950s.
It can be confirmed that it is a Pre-war Smith & Wesson, possibly a Registered Magnum. All pre-Model 27 Smith & Wesson 357 Magnums had front sights that did not run flush with the end of the barrel. The one pictured doesn't run flush with the barrel, therefore it's a Pre-war Magnum.

== Colt Detective Special ==
This .38 snubnose [[Colt Detective Special]] makes several appearances throughout the movie, as the revolver truly was popular amongst Mafioso of the time due to it's compact size, reliability and accuracy despite only having a 2" barrel. One of the hitmen who shoots at Don Vito Corleone carries a Detective Special.
