Both Stackhouse (Gabriel Macht) and Lt. Chris Burnett (Owen Wilson) have Beretta 92SB handguns as their sidearms. When the two of them first crash land in Bosnia after their F/A-18F Super Hornet is shot down, Stackhouse is discovered by the Serbs. They take his weapon and question him. After that, a Serb sniper named Sasha (Vladimir Mashkov) uses the pilot's own weapon to execute him, and then uses it to shoot at Burnett when he is discovered. Burnett later uses his Beretta 92SB to shoot and injure Sasha near the end of the film. This model of the Beretta won the airforce trials and is accurately portayed as used in the film. Note how it has a rounded trigger guard front. The later models such as the 92F and 92FS would incorporate the curved trigger guard later on. The use of this handgun also would seem to depict that this film is set around the same time as USAF Captain Scott O'Grady crashed in Bosnia(1995), in which this film is loosely based.

It can't be a mosin-nagant. When he is shot and falls back, the magazine well is shown to be flat, not extended and curved.

The rifle this soldier is using is a CZ 700 or 750. The movie was made in Czech Republic (or Slovakia) and they used the weapons that are in that country, except for a few possibly Yugo AK's for the Serbs.
Zastava M70AB2
During flashbacks to the ethnic cleansing scene that took place at the beginning of the film, several Serbian soldiers can be seen using Zastava M70AB2 assault rifles to slaughter civilians that would fill the mass grave Burnett and Stackhouse are later shot down for discovering. The M70 is the Serbian AKM copy and differs primarily in that it has a folding sight for launching grenades in front of the gas tube, which is clearly visible in the screencap below. The B1 is fixed stock and the B2 is folding stock.
Many of the Serbian soldiers can be seen with AKM rifles throughout the film. A couple are also seen being carried by civilians Burnett encounters, including a young man who accompanies Burnett in his attempt to reach the extraction point. Burnett also comandeers one of these weapons from a dead Serbian soldier and uses it for most of the remainder of the film.
The Mosin Nagant rifle was first issued in 1891 for the Imperial Russian Army. It is one of the longest serving bolt action rifles in history, being issued until the 1940s (and up to the 1960s in third world client nations of the USSR). The original M1891 rifle was updated in 1930, thus a new model was designated the M91/30, which was the most widely distributed bolt action rifle of the Red Army. There was a carbine version known as the M38 issued during World War 2, but these were more rare than the full length rifle. The M44 carbine was issued too late to see action in World War 2, except in the very last few months of the war and only saw battle in the hands of North Korean Soldiers in 1950-53 and in the hands of the Viet Cong and PAVN during the 1960s. The Mosin-Nagant series of rifles and carbines are still encountered in the hands of enemy combatants in the present day with many combatants using Mosin-Nagants in places like Iraq, Afghanistan, and numerous other conflicts in nations that received Soviet, Warsaw Pact, and Chinese Communist military aid during the Cold War era.

Note: It was also the first firearm to chamber the supreme champion of longest serving firearm calibers in history, the venerable 7.62x54R cartridge, which is still issued and used in armies to this day.
