== SIG-Sauer P226 ==

The [[Sig Sauer P220 pistol series#SIG P226|SIG-Sauer P226]] pistol is the unofficial star of ''The Negotiator'', and is used heavily by many characters in the movie. When Lieutenant Danny Roman ([[Samuel L. Jackson]]) is accused of murdering his partner as part of a corruption scandal, he takes the accusing Internal Affairs investigators hostage using a P226 that he acquires from one of them during a scuffle. There are several extreme closeups of the P226 where it is easy to see that, as with all prop SIG-Sauer pistols used in Hollywood, the lock-up on the barrel has been filed down in order to make the gun function with blanks.

Many of the other Chicago police HBT officers throughout the movie also use the P226. The two HBT operators who attempt to breach the building from the air are armed with P226s fitted with Surefire 332R flashlight (early model, marked "Laser Products"), both of which are then confiscated by Danny and used later in the film. Hellman ([[Nestor Serrano]]), one of the corrupt officers in the film, also carries a P226 which is then given to Grant Frost ([[Ron Rifkin]]), the leader of the conspiracy plot, when he confronts Danny at the end of the film. Beck ([[David Morse]]) also used a SIG Sauer P226 to wound Frost when he attempts to kill himself to avoid arrest.

Danny Roman's sidearm early in the film is a [[Beretta 92 pistol series#Beretta 92F/FS|Beretta 92FS]], which he is forced to surrender (along with his badge) when he learns that he is suspected of killing his partner and is placed on suspension. Chicago HBT sniper Palermo ([[Michael Cudlitz]]) uses a .308 (7.62x51mm NATO) version of the Finnish [[Valmet M78]] semi-automatic rifle. His Valmet is outfitted with a scope and laser sight (which a real-life sniper would never use). He refuses to use this rifle to kill Danny even when he has the chance.

This video game is the reimagining of the legendary ''[[GoldenEye 007]]'' and it stars [[Daniel Craig]] as [[James Bond]] instead of [[Pierce Brosnan]] who originally starred in the ''[[GoldenEye]]'' film. All of the weapons were shown with their proper names in the first trailers, but the final game uses fictional names, like most other ''James Bond'' games.

The [[Walther P99]] serves as James Bond's sidearm, instead of the classic [[Walther PPK]] (as the "PP7") he used in the original ''[[GoldenEye 007]]''. It can be fitted with a removable suppressor. When Bond reloads (no matter how many rounds there are still in the magazine) the slide locks back. It looks like he is racking the slide, but he is really releasing the slide like many people do with Glocks. It also has Glock-style sights.

== Heckler & Koch USP45 ==
The [[Heckler & Koch USP]] .45 appears in the hands of enemies in several missions, called the "Hawksman M5A" in-game. Sometimes, it can be found with a laser sight or a suppressor. It is fairly powerful, killing enemies in 1-2 shots (as opposed to the P99s 3-4) with a faster firing rate than the P99. Strangely, it's always modeled with the aiming module, but it's only functional on some guns . Also, every time the gun is reloaded, empty or not, the slide locks back upon the removal of the magazine, a fresh one is loaded in, then Bond thumbs the slide catch, snapping it forward, this is likely for the "dramatic" effect of the game, possibly adding to the "panic" of a quick reload. "USP" and ".45 Auto" can be barely seen written on the slide.

The [[Smith & Wesson Model 29]] is in the game as the elusive "Wolfe .44." Some evidence suggests its a Model 29, It has a large barrel, It's a .44 Magnum, and the Model 29 comes in a nickel finish as well as blued. It is the second most powerful gun in the game, behind the Golden Gun. The pistol features a nickel finish and kills enemies in one shot if it is placed at the abdomen or above. Bond reloads it using a speedloader; six rounds are always shown in the cylinder and on the speedloader, even if Bond has less than six rounds remaining. One can be found sitting on Valentin Zukovsky's table behind the desk in his office in the nightclub level, presumably this is his personal sidearm.

While this isn't incorrect per se, MP5 manuals note that it can be difficult to insert a fully-loaded magazine with the bolt closed, which is why the magazine is usually inserted with the charging handle pulled back and locked.

The [[FN P90]] appears in single- and multiplayer, called the "Vargen FH-7." Its magazine capacity has been reduced from the original game's 80 to the correct 50, but it still sports an incredible rate of fire. Unlike the real weapon, it does not always come with a reflex sight; if it does not have one, it instead has a "U" shaped hollow in the top of the carrying handle with a front blade sight and no rear sight at all. The hollow is treated like there is a rail in it, even though there is not one; the ACOG sight simply has the mounting stuffed into the top of the carrying handle on this weapon.

The [[FN Tactical Police]] shotgun appears in the game as the "PT-9 Interdictus", used by Russian troops and OMON teams in the St. Petersburg Military Archives, as well as Trevelyan's troops at the Nigerian Cradle installation. It was one of several weapons originally shown with its actual name in early trailers, before receiving a fictional one in the final game. Its presence in the Archives mission may well be a reference to the fact that the beta version of the original Goldeneye's Archives had the Shotgun as an obtainable weapon.

Well to stretch it, we can say this movie takes place during a time when the HK416's civilian variant has been released already and like in Heat, the character bought the civilian variant and put in a drop in auto conversion. It IS a stretch, but at least my theory explains how they at least got a hold of a 416.

Oh and to the guy up there saying that because this movie takes place in Massachusetts with the strictest gun laws ever doesn't mean ANYTHING to bank robbers or criminal in general. They coulda bought their guns outside of the state, transported them back to Massachusetts and then made them full auto. And just as another stretch, it IS possible to get the HK USC, with is the civilian UMP and customize it to function like a UMP, but the best theory on why all the hard to get weapons is they most likely stole them from the Police. I mean, there are many departments that uses the UMP and there are some out there that do have the HK416. It wouldn't be TOO hard to believe they ambushed a cop car and stole their weapons or broke into a police armory. They seem to be good at breaking in and disguising themselves. All British troops involved in combat and peacekeeping operations during the Troubles have either returned to base or returned to the mainland. In other words, not many British military personnel walking around with their weapons.

It looked like a hammerless Snub nose type of revolver. Taurus Model 65 I believe.
