The Sniper (神鎗手) is an upcoming 2009 Hong Kong action thriller film directed by Dante Lam and starring Richie Ren, Edison Chen and Huang Xiaoming, as top snipers for the Hong Kong Police Force. The film was originally set to be released in May 2008, but was delayed due to the Edison Chen photo scandal.
:: Hi there. Welcome to IMFDB. I'm keeping these discussions on the movie page for now, and not moving them to discussion page for the time being just so that no one misses them.

::QUESTION: Has this movie been released on DVD yet? I've checked and this film officially has only been screened at film festivals. If not these are Bootleg images and not allowed on IMFDB. We have a Zero Tolerance for bootlegs, being that we have many people who work in the movie industry (myself included) who work on this site. If it has then I hope that you or someone buys the DVD or rents it for some screencaps. Your quality from the torrent stream isn't bad, but that type of data transfer always makes me nervous as to the legality of the image. Illegally distributing movies over streaming video is still bootlegging and IMFDB won't allow any sort of illegal copy to make it's way here. I did got the DVD when I was in Hong Kong this past summer but I can't be too certain if it is bootleg or not as it was purchased in a store. The screen shots that were there were from a site and I just removed them, sorry about that. My DVD drive on my PC is busted right now but once I get that fixed, I will get screen shots from the DVD.

Tears of the Sun is a 2003 action film about a Navy SEAL team under the command of Lt. A.K. Waters (Bruce Willis) that is sent in to the African country of Nigeria during a coup to extract Lena Kendricks (Monica Bellucci), an American doctor. When she goes with the team to the extraction site along with the 80 some refugees from her village, the SEALs take only her. After seeing the atrocities committed on the village, Lt. The most commonly used assault rifle on the African continent, AKM rifles are seen in the hands of militants, refugees, and Doc, (Paul Francis) who took it from a dead militant. He is never seen using it, but after the village raid, he most likely gave it to a refugee, as they acquired a lot of them then.

Waters has a change of heart and turns the helicopters around. He and his SEAL team then become determined to get the doctor and the refugees to the border before the rebel militants can find them.
