The primary weapon of a Judge in the film is the "[[(Judge Dredd) - Lawgiver II|Lawgiver II]]". It's seen primarily used by Judge Dredd ([[Sylvester Stallone]]), Judge Hershey ([[Diane Lane]]), and Rico ([[Armand Assante]]). According to an article from Beretta World, the Lawgiver II is in reality a [[Beretta 92FS]] with the futuristic casing built around it. In the film, the gun has "mission-variable ammunition", the capabilities of which include rapid-fire, armor-piercing, grenade launcher, signal flare launcher, and a special high-powered dual round known as the "double-whammy". It also has a security feature which allows only a Judge to operate the gun.

There were 6 practical firing Lawgivers, all with slight variations in their casings. There were 2 sfx "Double Whammy" Lawgivers designated as H1 and H2. Both guns had motorized barrels which were servo operated by radio control by off-stage technicians. Sensors built into the front and rear of the Beretta's external magazine well caused the lit casing elements to operate. By releasing the rear sensor and squeezing the front the side elements go out and the red elements on each side of the casing come on... 'signal flare', 'rapid fire' etc. None of the practical live fire Lawgivers had the Double Whammy rubber scope with glass lens. The base practical-fire guns would later be re-used (in altered form) in ''[[Blade II]]''.

The '''RPG-7''' has been utilized by both Soviet/Russian soldiers and all other Communist bloc countries and client states/groups throughout the world. (The actual Russian abbreviation RPG stands for ''Ruchnoy Protivotankovyy Granatomyot'' - handheld anti-tank grenade launcher). Developed from the [[RPG-2]] (also known as the B40 rocket in Vietnam), the RPG-7 is seen all over the world - from the war zones of Africa and the Middle East to Central and South America.

The Chinese made their own version of the rocket - the '''Type 69 RPG''', which differed in that there was only one pistol grip. The second pistol grip of the RPG-7 was replaced by a upper handle. Also the Type 69 has an integral lightweight bipod that folds against the body of the tube. In movies, many times the Type 69 RPG is seen rather than the Russian RPG-7.

The real Soviet built RPG-7 launcher has never really appeared in many U.S. films (until recently). There were no real de-watted examples in most of the movie prop houses (or armories). In films like ''[[Red Dawn]]'' and ''[[Back to the Future]]'' the RPG-7s are fully fabricated fakes, made out of aluminum, plastic fibreglass or wood. The only true RPG-7s that appeared in films for years were foreign ones that used foreign armorers. Currently, the expensive Airsoft RPG-7 replica, resin fakes of varying quality, and the false one used by the U.S. military for training purposes are seen quite a bit in movies and films in which they're not required to fire. When the RPG fires, it is a fabricated fake, designed to fire a pyrotechnic special effects rocket. One of the reasons why these items were hard to obtain was restrictions imposed by the ATF, however recently Soviet manufactured dewatted RPG-7s have been coming into the country for sale.

Since 2009, Airtronic USA have manufactured this improved version of the classic RPG-7 which features an [[M16 rifle series|M16]]-type pistol grip and a MIL-STD-1913 quad rail system which can be used to mount an [[M16 rifle series#M4/M4A1 Carbine|M4]]-type collapsible stock, vertical grips and various sighting systems. The '''RPG-7''' has been utilized by both Soviet/Russian soldiers and all other Communist bloc countries and client states/groups throughout the world. (The actual Russian abbreviation RPG stands for ''Ruchnoy Protivotankovyy Granatomyot'' - handheld anti-tank grenade launcher). Developed from the [[RPG-2]] (also known as the B40 rocket in Vietnam), the RPG-7 is seen all over the world - from the war zones of Africa and the Middle East to Central and South America.

The real Soviet built RPG-7 launcher has never really appeared in many U.S. films (until recently). There were no real de-watted examples in most of the movie prop houses (or armories). In films like ''[[Red Dawn]]'' and ''[[Back to the Future]]'' the RPG-7s are fully fabricated fakes, made out of aluminum, plastic fibreglass or wood. The only true RPG-7s that appeared in films for years were foreign ones that used foreign armorers. Currently, the expensive Airsoft RPG-7 replica, resin fakes of varying quality, and the false one used by the U.S. military for training purposes are seen quite a bit in movies and films in which they're not required to fire. When the RPG fires, it is a fabricated fake, designed to fire a pyrotechnic special effects rocket. One of the reasons why these items were hard to obtain was restrictions imposed by the ATF, however recently Soviet manufactured dewatted RPG-7s have been coming into the country for sale.

Since 2009, Airtronic USA have manufactured this improved version of the classic RPG-7 which features an [[M16 rifle series|M16]]-type pistol grip and a MIL-STD-1913 quad rail system which can be used to mount an [[M16 rifle series#M4/M4A1 Carbine|M4]]-type collapsible stock, vertical grips and various sighting systems. The tube of the Airtronic RPG-7 is manufactured from 4150 ordnance grade steel, however Airtronic have recently produced a lightweight version known as the MK 777 which uses a carbon composite barrel with steel liner, halving the weight of the launcher. More recently they decided to change the names of the weapons to the PSRL-1 (Precision Shoulder-fired Rocket Launcher) and GS777 respectively.

The primary weapon of a Judge in the film is the "[[(Judge Dredd) - Lawgiver II|Lawgiver II]]". It's seen primarily used by Judge Dredd ([[Sylvester Stallone]]), Judge Hershey ([[Diane Lane]]), and Rico ([[Armand Assante]]). According to an article from Beretta World, the Lawgiver II is in reality a [[Beretta 92FS]] with the futuristic casing built around it. In the film, the gun has "mission-variable ammunition", the capabilities of which include rapid-fire, armor-piercing, grenade launcher, signal flare launcher, and a special high-powered dual round known as the "double-whammy". It also has a security feature which allows only a Judge to operate the gun.

There were 6 practical firing Lawgivers, all with slight variations in their casings. There were 2 sfx "Double Whammy" Lawgivers designated as H1 and H2. Both guns had motorized barrels which were servo operated by radio control by off-stage technicians. Sensors built into the front and rear of the Beretta's external magazine well caused the lit casing elements to operate. By releasing the rear sensor and squeezing the front the side elements go out and the red elements on each side of the casing come on... 'signal flare', 'rapid fire' etc. None of the practical live fire Lawgivers had the Double Whammy rubber scope with glass lens. The base practical-fire guns would later be re-used (in altered form) in ''[[Blade II]]''.
