== Browning Hi-Power ==

Barry uses what looks like a Browning Hi-Power pistol after his Sterling jams. It appears that this is a real gun because there is recoil, smoke and ejecting cartridges. Apparently, the New Zealand film commission didn't allow Peter Jackson to use blank firing guns in this movie which is why he made replicas and added in the effects during post-production. Handguns are legal to own in New Zealand so Peter wouldn't of had much trouble using them in the movie. The actors also behave like they're firing a real gun during these scenes. Full auto weapons on the other hand are restricted in New Zealand which explains the use of replicas for the "bigger" guns.

After Butch runs over Marsellus Wallace ([[Ving Rhames]]) with his car and is subsequently hit by another car, Marsellus gets up, injured, and fires at Butch with a [[Smith & Wesson 639]] (with adjustable sights and sight guard), hitting a bystander. Marsellus chases Butch into Maynard's pawn shop. Butch attacks and manages to disarm him. Before he can shoot Marsellus, Maynard ([[Duane Whitaker]]) captures them at gunpoint, taking the 639 for him and Zed ([[Peter Greene]]). It is a late model due to the circular trigger guard and straight back rubber grip.

After Brett and Roger are killed by Jules and Vincent, a character known only as "Man #4" ([[Alexis Arquette]]) bursts out of the bathroom with a .357 Magnum [[Taurus Model 689]] with a custom ported barrel, and fires six shots at them. Despite the close range, neither Jules nor Vincent are hurt and they kill Man #4. Afterwards, they remark on the size of the man's "hand cannon" and Jules comes to believe that God deflected the bullets.
