there are no Germans in the game nor does it take place in Germany nor there is any connection to Germans or Nazis or anything like that I don't think its the 30's I believe the past levels was in cold war times, since it is mentioned that the experiments are done in order to gain upper hand against America which would make no sense in the 30's

::Haven't played the game, and although it makes no sense based on what people have said, that is definitely a [[Sturmgewehr 44]], not an AK. Note how there is a length of receiver behind the pistol grip before the butt starts, the butt is exactly the same shape as an StG44, the trigger grip and pistol grip are part of the receiver with grip plates bolted either side, the "chunkyness" of the rear sight, the much slimmer hand guard, and the presence of the rod at the end of the gas tube. :::Maybe the game was made by people who know sh*t about weapon and they thought the STG44 is Russian weapon... so they gave the Soviets this gun as their primary in the BETA. They realized that the STG is a German gun and changed it to the AK before releasing the final game. ::::Really late reply, but it’s probably worth bringing up for anyone curious later: it’s probably a placeholder. Raven Software’s previous project to this was the 2009 Wolfenstein game, where the MP43 was a useable weapon (being WW2 and all). Raven probably used that as a similar looking placeholder for trailers and the beta while the proper AK model was being made. Raven did something similar before where they retextured Klingons white to function as placeholder Stormtroopers when working on Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast from their prior project Star Trek Elite Force, before modeling them proper for the final release. Though with my A Level, the duff chemistry also got me; Element 99 is Einsteinium which was discovered in 1952, and the charts shown in the game are ''American'' periodic tables; Soviet ones would have different names for several elements (eg Rutherfordium was Kurchatovium). Einsteinium is basically useless for anything but making other useless elements with big atomic numbers. Also, shouldn't the "autocannon" be listed as a GAU-19? Can anybody tell me what kind of assault rifle? This is similar to [[AKMSU]], but has another construction of gas operated unit. It modeled with black furniture, red-dot sight, laser designator, fixed buttstock, and 20-round plastic magazine and looks like a cross between AKMSU and [[SIG SG 552|SIG SG 552 Commando]].

I guess I'm the only guy on here who likes Duke Nukem Forever. Oh well, I thought the game was really good when I played it, and I felt that it had the right amount of pop culture, movie, music and videogame references, hot women (especially in the 'Titty City' strip club level... heh, heh, >:D), good alien ass-kicking, a nice touch of interacting with various objects and characters in the environments throughout the levels, naughty moments, and some of the best and funniest lines delivered not only by the secondary characters of the game, but also by the man himself; Duke Nukem. Sure some of the mechanics of the game could have been better, the loading screens take a little bit too long on some occasions, and some other areas, characters, graphics and a bit of the plot in the game could have had a final polish before it went out the door (such as why the aliens chose to come back, what is their endgame to invading Earth again, and why every single damn captured woman in the Hive level constantly has alien babies bursting out from them, often forcing the players making Duke kill them first before that happens, and not having Duke be so remorseful about doing that like how he was in the last game, but instead cracking a joke or two after the players make him kill an alien-impregnated woman or if they die first when the alien offspring burst out). But for what it's worth, I really enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever and I think it's a good game, definitely something that should go on the list of 'Top 10 Videogames of 2011'. If that's what you guys are going to criticize, then I might as well call out Duke Nukem 3D for insulting Doom despite Duke 3D having many similar elements to Doom (large amount of enemies, many secrets, key card hunting etc.). Duke Nukem was always about the character, and the humor that he brought to the game, and Duke Nukem Forever succeeds in that regard. After all, I'd be hard pressed to find any other shooter that has a non-serious main character (The only other one I can think of that still has games today is Serious Sam). Keep the QBZ-97 carbine as the QBZ-95 carbine because 95 designation means the chinese 5.8x42mm round while the 97 designation refers to the export models which are chambered in 5.56x45 mm NATO and uses M16/AR15 STANAG magazines.

:Just to add on questionable reliability. I saw a Chinese propaganda video on youtube showcasing the weapon system. The guy demoing claims it works after being dunked in water like the HK416. What happened was he did put the rifle in water, unloaded, no round chambered, unlike the H&K demos, then loaded and chambered it after dunking it and waited up to 30 seconds before firing it. By the time you'd fire the rifle, all the water would be out and less likely to have a malfunction anyway. [[User:Excalibur01|Excalibur01]]

There been alot of complains from the troops that the 95 rifle force them to use right handed even though some might be left handed. Also some complain with the awkard safety position lever.. however this rifle wont be phased out yet! After all it takes many years just to updates all the Chinese army division! The 03 rifle would probably be handed to elite division or special forces most likely. I hope some of these information helps.

::I must admit that as a Chinese, what AdAstra2009 saying is true. Both my mother and my sister were born left-handed, but the parents forced both to write with their right hands. Since my sister is an American-borne Chinese, she's still left handed in most aspects, but my mom seems to be completely right handed now. Left-handed people tend to be forced into "correcting" their dominate hands. This is simply a small part of the large amount of crap that China has that eventually convinced my parents to leave for the US.

When I was reading a Guns & Ammo article on the QBZ series, they showed a photo of a French soldier teaching Chinese how to shoot a bullpup left handed, but it wasn't correct since if he fired the rifle with his cheek against the stock, he'd get a shot of brass in his face. What he should have done was SBU, tilt the rifle so the shells eject down and away. I've heard about China discouraging left handers and some horrible stories about it, but for soldiers, you have to think about it. You need to know how to shoot with your weapon hand being left or right in the event your right arm is disable and you are forced to shoot with your left hand.

The British did a similiar thing with their main rifles. Regular army have the bullpup and Special Forces gets M4s and other traditional rifles [[User:Excalibur01|Excalibur01]]

That's why SF units everywhere use AR while regulars use bullpups. Problem is, most of NATO doesn't have the cash (or isn't willing to spend the cash) to replace their bullpup service rifles, so they're stuck with those guns for the foreseeable future. I'd like to see some actual sources for this info. It seems the bullpup haters like to speak for everybody and make claims based more on rumors and personal opinion than anything else. I admittedly have no info about the QBZ-95, but then again, China isn't very forthcoming about it's small arms other than maybe exaggerated reports and statistics. You may now proceed to call me a CS/MW fanboy with no real knowledge of anything...
