416s and REC7s
I just wanted to prompt someone to look into the openin' conflict scenes. I saw some of what looked like an HK416, I may be wrong, but the curve of the mag and the sights on the upper didn't look right to be M4A1s, even if the uppers were modded.

Also, the weapon on the guy in Max's truck, the first guy that comes out, that upper on that weapon doesn't belong to an M4 either. Too big. That weapon is a Barrett REC7.

Just thought I'd relay this info to someone who could add to this piece. I don't know how.
Well, maybe not those in particular, but that guy out of the armored truck definately doesn't have an M4. That's a M468 Barrett. Like this one: http://www.futurefirepower.com/wp-content/photos/orig_m468.jpg
::I think expense should also be noted here. Let's face it. As cool as it would be for the REC7 or some other truly tricked out M4/M-16 clone (.50 Beowulf anyone???) to be used most movies would go for something in the 5.56 family of weapons.
There would be no point in using them, accuracy doesn't really matter in movies, the only reason the gun would be used over M4 or HK is if someone wrote a book where character uses it or it is specifically said in a script and its mentioned that the character uses it by someone in the movie, its a gun that isn't very distinctive so there's really no point in using it, its not like its a handgun that they could get paid for to put on some big character so some crazy fans will buy it, no one can probably buy it, AR's on the other hand. --drakus 11:16, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
The only game I'm aware of that has the 229 is Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, and even then, the gun isn't IDed by name (to my understanding). So what game might Morgan have played? It's nothing particularly important; just curious. -MT2008 17:00, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
::We can assume that Morgan is such a game dork that he would have identified (or had the gun verbally identified by another geek to him) while playing the game. For the record, I know next to nothing about Video Games. When I have to choose hmmmm, shoot the 229 in a video game or shoot the 229 for real? I tend to choose shooting the guns for real 100% of the time ;) LOL MoviePropMaster2008 20:20, 13 May 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, I don't think the producers looked to see if it was in any games. They assumed that it would be in a game, and that Morgan's nerdiness would allow him to identfiy it.

Enter the Matrix has a Sig 229 sporter in the game and it should be in any game dealing with the secret Service, and it is in "Secret Service: The Ultimate Sacrifice". Spades of Columbia

:I don't know much about video games either, but even in games about the secret service would they identify the weapon by its actual name? I thought video games always made up names for the weapons they feature, even if the weapons are based on real models. -Anonymous

I doubt they were thinking of it, they just wanted to show that although he is a nerd he can identify a weapon, besides TV shows and movies have often used games that don't exist for when character has to play something, why would they bother with thinking which game has the gun or if there is one that has it at all

Just watched it last night. Nick Fury is packing a glock (probably a 17 as it was only seen in a shoulder holster. I was wrong about black widow, she commandeers a USP from one of hammers goon's which she holds in her right hand, on her left leg she has a different nickle/chrome/inox pistol. Possibly a baby eagle, or a compact baby eagle (if such a thing exists. Who ever updated the page is wrong about the USP she definatly takes it from a guard and her side arm is shown quite clearly on this image http://www.eclecticelectronics.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/iron-man-2-black-widow-whiplash-entertainment-weekly-july-24-2009.jpg i think its eagle based but its deffo not a USP - Captain Snikt
I question the penetration power of any of the guns that were put on War Machine aside from the minigun. He had a 9mm, and a 5.56mm weapon mounted with nothing that looks like a reloading system. I mean, I would think they'd develop proprietary weapons and ammo for the suit instead of guns and ammo that can't even dent a tank and yet we see these weapons making great damage against the drones at the end of the movie. What appears to be a G36C with a scope and used like it's a sniper rifle, and was seen with a laser pointer, something a sniper would never use. From the close up, it looks like this weapon might not even be a true G36C, but rather a semi-auto civilian rifle converted to LOOK like a G36C, an SL8 or an SL9. After a close up of the selector switch. Can someone ID the weird thing attaching onto the rifle which is connecting the laser pointer? Never seen it before.

When the character confronted Clark at the end, not knowing Clark was wearing a bullet proof vest made of lead, he shoulda shoot Clark in the head.

Also another problem to debate is that the character who used this created bullets out of "Kryptonite", which storywise is a mineral. Prop and visual wise, the part used seems to be the crystal portion seen in the series and the crystal is melted down into liquid and turned into bullets. I like to ask if anyone can argue how realistic this kind of bullet would be and is it possible and would it even survive the force of bullet speed?

If anyone reading this knows something more about bullets than I do care to tell me, beyond fiction, would this be possible. Be in mind, storywise, the character melted the crystals in a pot used to melt metal usually for making bullets over an open fire in the woods. I would understand maybe a furnace in a forge, but a camp fire seems unlikely.

To add, this is not the last "Anti-superman" gun that would be invented for the occasion of taking out Superman and his kind. In season 7, Lex in an alternate reality had a handgun with the same kind of bullets made out of Kryptonite. Of course, Lex is a multi-millionare, so at least HE would be able to create a bullet made of Kryptonite and not from a camp fire. I mean, bullets are made of lead and other materials, and lead is easy to melt in a camp fire with the right heat...right?

:An SL8 selector just has an 'S' for safe and an 'F' for fire. That gun's trigger group is safe-semi pictograms. They do make semi-only trigger groups for the full-auto guns, including the G36 series, and that might be the case here.
Composite Pistol
Mitch Leary (John Malkovich) builds a plastic Composite Pistol with two barrels as an assassination weapon to kill the President of the United States. While it is questionable how well the composite material would withstand the high pressure gases from firing, it is used several times in the film without ever breaking. When at the hotel where the President is staying, Leary assembles the weapon under the party table (after practicing assembling it blind folded several times) and had previously hidden the ammunition in a rabbit's foot keychain, and the springs in a pen. The weapon appears to use .32 S&W Long ammunition.
Not a firearm, but an interesting fact that it is seen used by O'Neill on many occasions and it is USMC knife it is also a bayonet which is clierly visibly and while it could maybe be adapted for us on MP5's it also seen when O'Neill switches to the P90 and it certainly cannot fit any bayonet.
Beretta M93R
Seen in used by US Secret Service agents to attempt to fend off a hologram of Anubis. Als used by the Trust agent Hoskins. It could just be the trick of the eye, but it looked like the scenes where this gun was fire was on full auto, but most likely the actors just pulling the triggers very fast in 3 round bursts, or just the special effects making it look like full auto. It was interesting to see a constant reload when the character Hoskins kept on unloading his gun and then just eject and reloaded, while walking casually away. It actually makes more sense since the guy was just emptying round after round at everything, mostly at doors so he could escape.

:If you look closely, you can see that they have the slide-mounted safety/de-cocker switch, whereas the 93R has it mounted on the frame. That means they're actually Beretta 92Fs dressed up to resemble M93Rs (with fake forward grips and flash hiders) and probably converted to auto with drop-in units; identical guns have also appeared in Harsh Realm and I, Robot (which were both done by the same armorers who worked on this show).

From a glance this gun seen in Season 8, episode 8 in the hands of the character Alec Colson while he seriously thinks about killing himself before Sam stops him. This is a SIG-Sauer P228.

:The barrel and slide look too long to be a P228. It really looks like a P226 to me. Plus, I know I've seen P226s in at least a couple of episodes of this show, so it would make sense if it was one of those. The easiest way to tell would be if you got a screenshot showing a better view of the trigger guard. If it's pointed, it would be a P226. If it's rounded, it would be a P228.

Jericho 941
In the episode 200, Mitchell imagined himself fighting zombies. If you forgot about this episode, yes zombies. When he was doing his last stand backing towards the activating gate, he took out a two tone Jericho 941 or the "Baby Eagle as in the DVD commentary, director Martin Wood refers to Mitchell's handgun correctly
A stainless steel Ruger P89 is used by one of Dr. Tanner's associates in the episode "Point of No Return" in season 4.

SIG-Sauer P226
The SIG-Sauer P226 is used in the episode "Desperate Measures" by Major Carter and Harry Maybourne.

It was again used in the episode "Smoke and Mirrors" by Senator Kinsey's Secret Service Agent.

It appears numerous times later on in the series as the standard-issue sidearm for NID agents later on in the series.

Walther P99
The Walther P99 is used by rogue NID agents in "Touchstone", Colonel Simmons in "Desperate Measures", and by Jack O'Neill in "Sight Unseen".

Taurus PT92
The Taurus PT92 is used in the first 12 episodes of Stargate SG-1's first season as a stand-in for the actual, firing Beretta 92FS/M9, which was apparently unavailable to the production crew until the 13th episode of the first season, "Hathor".

Beretta 92FS Inox
The Beretta 92FS Inox appears in the episode "Absolute Power", carried by Daniel Jackson's bodyguards at his estate.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
The Heckler & Koch MP5A3 is the primary weapon used by all SG teams for the first few seasons. Then when the main cast and some supporting and extras switched the P90s, the MP5 was only seen a few times. Also seen in use by the Free Jaffa Nation later in the series. MP5 also makes a small comeback when we see them again in the hands of a special assault unit raiding a Trust compound.

(Refering to the pic above) We can assume this was before Michael Shanks (Guy playing Daniel Jackson) learned how to hold a pistol correctly, but it fits his character. Just concerned about McGuyver having a gun accidently pointed at him by a guy with the finger on the trigger. Seemed to be a popular theme if you really pay attention in the series

(Refering to the pic below) MP5s made a short prominent comeback as we see an entire team of young recruits armed with them, though storywise, they were really intars. Kinda showing the audience the posibility of a spin-off with these guys. We only see a couple of them in a few later episodes, older, and the girl in the back later becomes popular in a role in Battlestar Galactica, another great series filmed right next to Stargate.

Aside from a few scenes, the MP5 never becomes noticable for the rest of the series while it gets overshadowed by countless P90 closeups and bigger guns like M4s, G36s, and M60s.
FN P90 Personal Defense Weapon
This became the most common weapon after its introduction in Season 4, Episode 8 ("The First Ones"). In the episode that introduced it, O'neill suggested the weapon because of the ammo was more penetrating than the MP5. We can assume it was just a device in the script just to bring this weapon into the fold, which is rare since there aren't that many series that actually brings up a weapon for the sake of the plot, which the series has for the rest of the show. This is the weapon that is identified when anyone thinks of of the Stargate series. The series probably picked this weapon for its futuristic look, something unique from the other weapons at the time and probably because the budget allowed for the expensive ammunition that comes with a P90, even blanks would cost a lot of money. Dan Shea, series stunt coordinator (1997-2007), has stated one reason the P90 was chosen is that it ejects the empty brass straight down when firing; this allows positioning of actors in a scene without worrying where expended cartridges will be flying. In addition, the weapon is ambidextrous in design, so both right- or left-handed shooters can handle it without problem.

In a few episodes, in the later seasons, Teal'c has been seen dual wielding this SMG, probably because he was not trained in standard practices of Earth military. However, in Stargate Continuum, Colonel Cameron Mitchell was also seen dual wielding P90s. Also seen once in the hands of Bra'tac and the Free Jaffa. Introduced to the Free Jaffa in Season 5 episode "The Warrior". Any subsequent episode with the free Jaffa, we see these in their hands over staff weapons.

H&K MP7
Since then, the MP7 has not been seen in used by the SG teams and only a handful of extras are seen holding them. In the episode "200", Mitchell, in his own imagination, was seeing dual wielding MP7s with the gun's sights folded and with extended magazines fending off Zombies. The episode first showing this was probably the series trying to replace the iconic P90s. However it was well written into the script and they only used this weapon when a low profile was necessary.
Seen in used by Mitchell in the movie Continuum is an M1 Thompson noted by cheap rear sights and side mounted bolt, but Mitchell went back in time and used this gun in 1939, which makes it a major continuity error since the M1 and M1A1 weren't made until 1942 when the US entered WWII. Guess they didn't care, didn't know, or where just trying to impersonate a M1928A1, which looks similiar.
Interesting: Anyone notice that the solo shot of the gun has no brass deflector on the upper receiver and yet the screenshots of Tapping show that her firing gun HAS the brass deflector. Is that a non firing prop for the show? Or perhaps a fan's airsoft "homage"? GREAT SHOTS!

:Yeah, the one in that illustration is a custom airsoft gun. I saw somebody post it on an airsoft forum I used to visit. Interestingly enough, I believe I remember reading about another SG1 fan who built an actual firing copy (as a registered semi-auto SBR) on an Olympic OA-93 or some similar gun like that.
::Why would he need to convert an OA-93? The Carter Micro special has a buttstock and a buffer tube, so having the custom gun built on an OA-93 is completely unnecessary. All you need is a standard AR15 and register it as an SBR and put the 7" AR pistol barrel on it. The rest can be built on a standard A1 or A2 upper receiver. :)
:::Not sure exactly, but I'm pretty sure I remember them saying that was the gun they used. I wish I could find the forum topic where I saw it, but it was so many years ago now.
::::It would makes sense if the owner already had the OA-93 and converted it to a short rifle (thus already having it registered as an SBR). He may not have wanted to go through the paperwork of registering yet another SBR from a new gun. :)

Heckler & Koch G3SG-1
Used in the episode "Orpheus" by O'Neill. This is the real name of the rifle, and a coincidence to the name of the team that used it on occasion.

Gun above is not a real SG/1, it lacks the thingy behind the trigger which lightens the triger pull.

:"Thingy"? Is that a technical term?

I don't know what it's actually called, but it extends out of the pistol grip just behind the trigger, and is used the same as the second trigger on some bolt action rifles. --Zurak 47 02:36, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
AK Variants
First seen used by the Russian SG team in "Tomb", also by Honduran terrorists, seen in use by another race of humans first seen in the episode "Icon" and then again once by Mitchell in the Continuum movie.

:The magazine appears to be Norinco Type 84-style, and there are lots of those in Hollywood's rental armories.
::Could be but since SG1 is filmed in Canada, none of the California armorers work on the show and Canadian armorers can still get a lot of stuff that we Americans can't (despite their ridiculous gun restrictions for the 'common folk').

:::Yeah, possibly. I admit the fact that the M70B appears in the show suggests it could be an M90. However, I seem to recall seeing at least one episode of this show where the AK74 I saw was definitely a Type 84 (hooded front sight, smooth receiver cover, plus less-curved mag).

::::I think during the beginning of the episode "The Tomb" (Episode 508, where the screenshots here are from) when O'Neill and the Russian colonel were comparing their weapons, O'Neill mentioned that the Russian weapons were actually Yugoslavian.

Contrary to popular belief, there are no real FN Minimi or M249 light machine guns used in Stargate: SG1 or its sister show, Stargate: Atlantis. The light machine guns used by the Atlantis expedition are actually Korean-made Daewoo K3s that have been fitted with M249 Paratrooper-style stocks and shortened barrels. Some of the K3s seen on the show also have RIS rails and vertical grips similar to those seen on the Mk 46 Mod 0.

FIM-92 Stinger Missile
Seen possibly only once in first season, "Children of the gods" by someone from SG-2 to take out a glider. This is the correct weapon to use for surface to air attack unlike seen using the AT-4
M203 Grenade Launcher Attachment
Seen attached to M4s and M16s. I think it was used only a handful of times. In prop wise, these were all most likely 37mm flare launchers meant to mimic the appearence of an M203, but for the sake of what was presented in story, they are 203s in the SG universe obviously.
:They ARE the Cobray CM203 flare launchers. What tips them off is the absence of a second trigger, the shape of the trigger guard, the lack of a step up in the receiver, and the cocking lever on the SIDE of the receiver. Good call.
M136 AT-4
Most commonly 'misused' as a surface-to-air missile to shoot down Goa'uld Death Gliders, however, the AT-4 is an 84mm Anti Tank Weapon. It has also been used just as a weapon to make big explosions.

The Beretta 92SB appears in the game as the M9, and is used by Sgt. Paul Jackson and many of the Marines and enemies as their standard sidearm. It is a relatively weak pistol, but has the highest magazine capacity of 15 rounds of 9mm and the lowest recoil allowing quick follow up shots. A sound suppressed version can be used in multiplayer.
The H&K USP45 is seen in game as the sidearm of Pvt. "Soap" McTavish and many other SAS soldiers in the game. It has a underbarrel flashlight that is unused in the game. It uses .45 ACP rounds in a 12 round magazine. It's recoil, capacity and stopping power make this gun the most balanced in classes, being slightly more powerful than the M9, but not as powerful as the M1911A1 or Desert Eagle. It is clearly a USP and not a SOCOM. It has a USP safety, and several other features that are different from a Mk. 23. However, it is incorrectly seen with a HK1 LAM [Laser Aiming Module], which only fits the Mk. 23 SOCOM. It can be supressed.
A version of the 1911 makes an appearance in game as the "M1911 .45." Though no one knows what it's specifically modeled after, the gun that it resembles most is a Springfield Armory Professional model (as opposed to the aforementioned Kimber and MEU (SOC) pistols) Features like the stainless steel barrel and bushing, Novak sights and match grade trigger separate it from the Kimber and MEU SOC which do not have these. It is used in game by Private "Soap" MacTavish, Captain Price, and Sergeant Paul Jackson as a sidearm in several levels, by Viktor Zakhaev to commit suicide, it is used by Captain Price to kill Al- Asad, and is unlockable in the multiplayer mode. It is also the gun slid to "Soap" in the final level by Price, used to take out Imran Zakhaev and his henchmen. Another stainless version is used by Staff Sergeant Griggs in the final level when tugging Soap to cover. It can be silenced.

The Desert Eagle appears in this game and is the most powerful pistol holding 7 shots but having the most recoil. Two of the main villains, Khaled Al-Asad, and Imran Zakhaev, carry this pistol as their weapon of choice. Al-Asad uses his to kill President Al-Fulahni on TV. In single-player it is only usable once on the level "Crew Expendable" when a man with two of them jumps you on the ship. In split screen multilayer, it is a usable sidearm. However, it is locked in online multilayer until the player reaches the high rank of brigadier general. In competition gaming the Desert Eagle is almost unanimously the preferred pistol for its power and accuracy. This gun is one of the six that has a gold form that doesn't change stats.
Gaz pulls out a Model 1200 in the "Crew Expendable" level, memorably quoting Hicks (Michael Biehn) (when he pulls out his Ithaca 37 "Stakeout") from Aliens, when he says he likes to "Keep it handy for close encounters". == Skorpion SA Vz.61 ==

The SA Vz.61 Skorpion appears in this game, and is used by some enemies. High short-range damage and an extreme rate of fire makes it effective up close, although it is hindered by a slow reload, low capacity of 20 .32 ACP rounds, and weak long-range damage. The weapon also has very little muzzle climb, and due to an early glitch in multiplayer whereby damage did not decrease when silenced, the weapon has been banned from all major competitive leagues. The ban is likely for its ability to cause 50 damage at close range [Half the regular health, 1/4th of the damage in Old School, and kills in one shot on Hardcore].

The Mini Uzi appears in this game, and is also used by many enemies. Modeled with weaker damage, it fires 9mm rounds from a 32 round magazine at a high rate of fire. The high rate of fire with bouncing recoil leaves its accuracy poor for all but the shortest ranges. Zakhaev's son uses one while escorting Al-Fulahni to his execution, and while running from Soap, Griggs and Gaz right up until the end. This gun has a gold form.
The H&K MP5A5 appears in this game and is used by Sgt. "Soap" McTavish (the player) and some of the SAS Operatives, and is also used by some of the enemies. The H&K MP5SD6 is also wielded by the player and some SAS Operatives in the prologue and epilogue levels. The SD model is fitted with a sound suppresor. The MP5 fires 9mm rounds from a 30 round magazine, while curiously it is attributed greater damage than the 9mm Uzi. Accurate and powerful in the game, it is a popular all-around weapon in multiplayer especially. The barrel in the MP5 is longer so the round exits the muzzle at a higher velocity.

This is not an MP5A3/SD as previously suggested, as it has a flat sided receiver with pictogram markings instead of the S-E-F markings on the A3.
Although never seen or used in-game, many of the statues throughout the games's campaign and multiplayer levels hold a cement version of the Russian PPSH sub-machine gun.

AKMSU
Like the P90, the Ak-74U is a sub-machine gun in name only. Firing 5.45x39mm intermediate rifle rounds, the Ak-74U is more accurately described as a miniature carbine. However, Call of Duty 4 does give it an attribute reflecting the nature of its rifle heritage. While it handles like the other SMGS, and its damage is modeled as equivalent to the H&K MP5, the Ak-74U can penetrate walls and other cover like the assault rifle class. None of the other SMGs have this advantage. With decent power and accuracy, the Ak-74U is an effective close and medium range weapon, with even-handling recoil and a high rate of fire from its 30-round magazine. In Campaign mode, it is mostly seen being used by Al Assad's forces in the Middle East and has a slower rate of fire than in multiplayer.
FN P90 TR
The FN P90 TR, a version of the P90 with three accessory rails appears in the game, and is a rarely seen weapon (it is occasionally used by some of the enemies). Its sole "special" appearance is in "All Ghillied Up" as the P90SD (with suppressor and red dot sight), while in "Heat" and the epilogue mission "Mile High Club" it is simply the P90, unsuppressed and using open rail iron sights. In all versions it fires 5.7x28mm rounds from a 50-round magazine. As with its real world counterpart, the P90 is modeled with relatively weak per-hit damage and mediocre accuracy, but relies on a high rate of fire and large magazine capacity for its effectiveness. The weapon is easy to wield in multiplayer, so much so that it has been restricted in competitive play due to its "spray" advantage over other weapons. Despite however many additions, it always has a laser attached to the side rail, and if it does not have any special sights, it is seen as having HK Diopter sights.
M16A4
The M16A4 appears in the game, used by many of the US Marines. One of the characters, Lt. Vasquez, who is Sgt. Jackson's commander in the US levels, carries an M16A4/M203 combo as his weapon of choice. Modeled as full-auto, which would really be an M16A3, in the single-player mode, it fires 5.56mm NATO from a 30 round magazine. In-game, the M16A4 is attributed the same damage as the AK-47 and G3, despite the real weapon having far from the energy of either. In multiplayer, it is modeled accurately as an M16A4, firing a very quick three round burst, but with a slight pause between bursts. This makes an on-target salvo from the M16 very effective, but also makes misses much more costly, especially in close-quarters when pitted against full-auto weapons. In Singleplayer the M16 is seen as fully automatic while still having the carrying handle of an A4, this is easily remedied by putting an A4 upper on an A3 Lower.
AK-47
The AK-47 appears in the game, and is used by most of the enemies and allied Russian soldiers. It fires 7.62x39mm rounds in a 30 round magazine. Some of them have GP-25 Kostyor 40mm muzzle loaded Grenade Launchers mounted on them. They feature a similar detonation safety as the M203 rounds meaning they are not recommended for close quarters. It is powerful and some-what accurate and is the equivalent to the M16 rifle. Online and especially in the competitive leagues, the AK-47 has become an established favorite for many of the same reasons it has in the real world; it is powerful and flexible, offering dependable performance in nearly every situation. This gun has a gold form most likely inspired by Saddam Hussein's gold AK-47. As another user pointed out, it is a hybrid, it is milled but has strengthening ribs

Although not seen or used in the game, in some levels as Sgt. "Soap" MacTavish, there are posters on walls giving the details of an AKS-74 assault rifle (mistaken for an AKM).
M4A1 Carbine
The M4A1 Carbine appears in the multi-player game with iron sights (which can be replaced with a red dot sight or ACOG scope), but appears in the single-player game only in three specialized versions:
1. The "normal" M4A1, used by the U.S. Marines in their missions and Soap in the final mission of the story with a Tasco red dot scope (exclusive to those missions) and forward handgrip (with no statistical effect unlike the multiplayer attachment for shotguns and machine guns),
2. the M4A1 Grenadier, which uses a EOTech Holographic Weapon Sight (exclusive to "The Bog," "War Pig," and "Shock and Awe" single-player missions) and M203 grenade launcher,
3. and the M4A1 SOPMOD, used by the SAS with a Sure Shot Reflex Sight, a suppressor, and the M203 grenade launcher. This is slightly inaccurate, as the actual SAS uses the Canadian C8SFW, a similar weapon to the M4.

The M4A1 is a fully automatic firing carbine version of the M16 rifle and being such is modeled to have quicker but less accurate and stable handling. While damage can be expected to be lower due to a shorter barrel, the game exaggerates this difference, modeling similar damage characteristics as the Uzi and P90. This may have been intended to reflect the nature of the carbine as a bridge between a battle rifle and an SMG/PDW.
Heckler & Koch G3A4
The H&K G3A4, noted by collapsing stock, and a normal length barrel, distinguishing it from the G3KA4 appears in this game and, like the AK-47, is used by many of the enemies in the game. It has full-auto function in single-player, but is reduced to semi-auto in multiplayer. The G3A4 fires 7.62x51mm NATO from a 20-round magazine. In the game, the damage from this round is made equivalent to both the AK-47 and M16A4 despite its real-world energy being much higher than either. The M14, which fires the same ammunition and is in the same class however, is correctly modeled as being more powerful than rifles firing intermediate cartridges such as the 5.56x45mm NATO or the 7.62.x39mm Soviet. The in-game weapon correctly reflects the real-world high accuracy of the G3, but its recoil is made to be incredibly light, much milder even than the AK-47. It can be used quite effectively at long ranges, but being semi-auto in multiplayer requires a quickness on the trigger to be able to keep up with other weapons up close.
It has a Tasco Laser Scope in single player and open sights in multiplayer. It comes with a 30 round 5.56mm magazine. It slightly heavier recoil and slower rate of fire than the M4, but much less sight sway. It is modeled with equal damage to the M4, reflecting its intermediate status as a compact assault-rifle carbine.
The M14 Rifle appears in the game, with a Knights Armaments RAS [Rail Adapter System] Fore end, an RAS scope mount, and heat shields on the side rails. It fires 7.62x51mm from a 20 round magazine, like the G3, but unlike the G3 is accurately portrayed as being significantly more powerful than the other assault rifles, and has a hefty recoil befitting the powerful cartridge.

It is also modified as a sniper rifle, the M21. Strangely, the M21 is a modified M14, although often with a smaller 10-round magazine, but have much different attributes in the game.
The Sturmgewehr 44 appears in multiplayer only and is unlocked at a high rank. It was the first true assault rifle ever created firing a 7.92 Kurz round in a 30 round curved box magazine. It is in the game as an ode to the previous COD games which the gun was featured in.
Its heavy recoil also consumes time for a follow up shot. It is used by "Soap" McTavish in the single-player exclusively in the "Sins of the Father" mission, prior to the pursuit of Victor Zakhaev. It holds four rounds of .308 Winchester (7.62x51mm NATO). The caliber is determined based on the size of the bolt and breech. Oddly, the M40A3 also seen in game is very much the same weapon, although in the game they have slightly different attributes.
The Dragunov SVD appears in this game and is used by all enemy snipers in the game. It was designed in the 60s as a replacement in Russia for the outdated Mosin-Nagant rifle. It is well known for its power, precision, and reliability. It's design is mainly based on the AK-47, but is chambered in 7.62x54R(rimmed) cartridges for increased range and power. It's weight and recoil makes it difficult for some scenarios. It is recommended to any player common to the sniper rifle. This gun has a gold form.

The Barrett M82 appears in the game, unlocked in multiplayer as a portable weapon and in a single player mission as a stationary weapon (with variable zoom and unlimited ammunition), and is the most powerful sniper rifle in the game. Lieutenant Price, in the single-player mission "One Shot, One Kill", uses the Barrett M82 to shoot Zakhaev's left arm off from a mile away. The rifle was first invented after soldiers were found needing more than a single-shot .50 caliber rifle and/or bolt action. This gun allows a skilled marksman to fire off 10 rounds in 10 seconds. It is extremely accurate at long distances, powerful enough to sever limbs[but this is rare] and shoot through walls. It fires .50 BMG ([12.7x99m]) rounds from a 10 round magazine. It's 30 pound weight proves a problem in combat and in usually more useful when stationary than running cross-country.

The M249 SAW appears in the game, used by the US Marines and members of the SAS (which is an innaccuracy as the SAS would use the FN Minimi, not the american M249). The M249 fires 100 or 250 round belt boxes of 5.56x45mm rounds at a rate of 850 RPM. It's accuracy is moderate to good and power equivalent to a M16, but is great for support. The weapon itself replaced the use of two M16A2 rifles in the typical US Army squad adding supplemental automatic fire to the A2's 3 round burst hence the designation Squad Automatic Weapon. Also the weapon can use M16 magazines, increasing its versatility.
The Degtyarev RPD Light Machine Gun appears in the game, and is the LMG used by the enemies in the game. It fires 7.62x39mm rounds from a 100 round belt box. It is loud, accurate, and intimidating. == M60E3 ==

The M60E3 appears in the "Last Stand" at the end of the game used by one of the soldiers accompanying Zakhaev, and usable in the last level if you kill the first driver pulling up to the destroyed bridge. He jumps out armed with one ready for your use and for some reason the single player version fires faster than the one in multiplayer. It is also more common in multiplayer. It fires .308 rounds from a 100 round belt box. The M60 was first used in Vietnam and had several problems. The M60E1's barrel overheated quickly requiring frequent changes, and the removal of the barrel required some disassembly of the weapon. The barrel had no way to remove it except to grab directly to the barrel(which would be most likely red hot). It also was somewhat unreliable. (No soldiers were complaining though because they no longer had to lug their 30 lb. 1919s anymore.) The M60E2 was a mounted gun that was no different than the E1 in function. The M60E3 had a shortened barrel, a more reliable system, a foregrip, and an easy to remove barrel. Although the shorter barrel overheated even faster, the easy removal system made it less of a hassle. The game incorrectly refers to it as the M60E4, which has a much shorter barrel than the one featured on the E3.
The minigun holds the world record for cyclic rate in a weapon using an functioning action (Metal storm holds the new title for non-function as all rounds are fired at once in stacks). It fires at a rate ranging from 3000-6000 RPM depending on model. It fires either .308(7.62x51mm) or .223(5.56x45mm) also depending on model.
It should be noted that in the game, when "Soap" is covering his unit's withdrawal using the minigun in the crashed Blackhawk, the weapon should not be working. When mounted on an aircraft the weapon is hooked into the aircraft's electrical system otherwise it would require a large external battery. It might actually have been probable, if the helicopter had only crashed an hour or two before the minigun was used. However, that's assuming that the crash didn't damage the battery
Some Marine NPCs have M136 AT4 strapped to their packs. It cannot be used in game, but was originally intended to be. It should be noted that on some levels you can get the AT4 with the "Give All" Cheat, i don't remember which levels... but it hink it can be useble in the same level as you are using the Mk 19.
M203/A1/PI grenade launcher
All three incarnations of the M203 Grenade launcher are used in game. This weapon in multi-player is commonly referred to as the 'noob tube' because of it's ability to get a kill without any real use of skill or accuracy. Many players are looked down upon for using this weapon attachment. To balance this out using the M203 negates the ability to select a perk from the perk 1 options.

The M203 is only seen on the M16A4, Notable by the longer barrel.

The M203A1 is seen on the M4A1 only, notable by still being of the larger persuasion, but with a shorter barrel.

The M203PI Is seen used on all other assault rifles [Except the AK-47], it is much smaller, and has a short barrel, designed for being mounted on other weapons.

GP-25 Grenade Launcher
The GP-25 grenade launcher is seen on the AK-47 only, while it is 40mm, it is seen as being able to use the same rounds as the M203s, which it cannot. One is also seen mounted on an AK-74U in the armory in the tutorial. This could be remedied easily as putting the M203PI on the AK-47.
Barrett M82
In the opening scenes of Shooter Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), on mission in Ethiopia, is seen firing both a Barrett M82 and a M40A3 sniper rifle. It is also used by Sanders to assassinate the Archbishop of Ethiopia. Even though this rifle is a semi-automatic in real life, in the movie, the editing makes it appear that Swagger racks the charging handle between shots (like an non blank adapted rifle would require).

:Posted to IMFDB by Weapons Coordinator Ryan Steacy:
:"I was the weapons coordinator on this film. The Barrett used was a real one firing blanks. After multiple strafing runs by the helicopter and the amount of dust and crap floating in the air from all the explosions, the gun did malfunction a few times on multiple takes. They are also used by the mercenaries during the firefight on the ranch, one which is commandeered by Swagger, and one, possibly the same one taken from the ranch shootout, with a red dot optic and suppressor is used by Swagger at the end of the film. The M4 at the end of the film appears to have an EoTech with a 4x Magnifier mounted behind it, and not an Aimpoint Sight, as was on the one that he took from the farm. ==Cheyenne Tactical M-200 Intervention==

This hefty rifle fires the extremely ballistically efficient .408 Chey-Tac round. As a result, this rifle, with correctly manufactured ammunition, can be effectively used out to distances of approximately 1.5 miles. The rifle is usually used with a ballistic computer that calculates bullet trajectory based on atmospheric conditions. Although not visible in the still frames provided, during the movie scene a ballistic computer can be seen immediately to Swagger's right. While it is possible, one must realize that the average grouping for even the best rifle (the M-200 being high on that list) at this range will be approximately 20 inches at 2000 yards. Keeping that in mind, the scene was obviously used to showcase Swagger's supernatural ability to snipe.
A tactical police heavy barreled version of the Remington Model 700, the Model 700P was purchased by Bob Lee Swagger in the sporting goods store when he is on the run (having Memphis buy the rifle). Next it is used at the river scene were Swagger is training Special Agent Nick Memphis to shoot under pressure. Later it is used by Memphis to provide cover fire to Swagger as they infiltrate the ranch in Virginia. Finally it is used by Swagger in the snow covered mountain scene. The secret service snipers at the president's speech use these rifles as well.
